Senior LIFE Ebensburg is a care program in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania, designed for adults age 55 and older who qualify for Medicaid and meet the state's level of care requirements. There is no cost to join the program for eligible participants who live in the service area.
The program provides comprehensive healthcare services available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including rehabilitation and other medical support. Senior LIFE's interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals specializes in geriatric care and includes doctors, nurses, specialists, physical therapists, home care aides, and other practitioners who coordinate care based on each participant's individual needs.
The program enables participants to receive necessary care while living safely and independently at home for as long as possible. In-network and out-of-network emergency services are covered by Senior LIFE, though participants may be financially responsible for services not authorized by the program. All non-emergency services must be preapproved by the interdisciplinary team. The LIFE Health and Wellness Center operates Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
Senior LIFE is a voluntary program, and participants may disenroll at any time. The program serves multiple zip codes across the region and requires that participants be able to safely live within the community to qualify.

There is terrible Communication! The aides on weekend are a no show, The drivers determine if they will pick up the client due to road conditions.. Without calling and giving a heads up. Times given for a pick up are NEVER correct! Very poor training of the aides.. Never return your phone calls or concerns….

This company is horrible. Healthcare is gatekeep. They do not let you see the specialist you need. Hospital, forget it. The aides sit outside the house and do nothing. It's insane. Good luck. Stay away.

Great place and staff helping keep seniors in home through end of life. As a member of Senior Life you have access to an interdisciplinary team (including but not limited to physical/occupational/speech therapies, social work, nursing, home care, dietician, etc.) who work together to help keep you independent and safe. Senior Life also provides transportation to/from medical appointments.

Senior life took care of my mother for 5 years what a devastating time for me they would never show up or they would pull in her driveway and sit in their car. My mother was unable to walk without assistance and was incontinant and was unable to get anything to eat . She would call me crying she was soaking wet and hungry and no one showed up all day ( I live 1 hour away from my mother) I would call senior life and they would tell me oh no they were there and she refused care so they left. Then when my mother deteriorated and she needed comfort care it was they abandoned her I had to move in with her because she had the bear minimal care and assistance with her dying. I am just going to tell you everything the care her oxygen tank her chair lift and briefs and pads all said and done the wanted 197,000.00 dollars there was no where near that amount left so they took everything that was left I would not let them take care of my dog

My friends purse disappeared somewhere between senior life and home. Granted her memory isn't the best but was told it was put on her counter when she was helped in. She says driver wasn't in her house. I've hunted all over her house for it but can't find it anywhere. She doesn't care about the money in it, just her wallet with all her important cards. Thankfully no credit or debit cards, but a checkbook was in there.sure hope it shows up
