I am a social worker at a long term care SNF. We had a resident that was transferring to their assisted living, The Sebring. I worked with both Todd and Jill to complete assessments, make sure the resident had everything set up for them upon admission to The Sebring, etc. I was very impressed with their timeliness and attention paid to making sure things went smoothly for this resident's move. They were kind to the resident and explained everything that would occur in regards to the move. Keep up the good work Jill and Todd!

My spouse was a memory care resident for the last 18 months. Before I could get him transferred to another facility, in a recent 7 week period, he was in the ER 5 times -- a head injury requiring many stitches, bruises/cuts to various parts of his body and a displaced fracture to his collar bone which could not be operated on due to his dementia. The ER doctor talked to me and stated he was not being cared for adequately. Also, the ER records stated he was "unclean." The staff is uninvolved and not well supervised. They would use the excuse that my spouse did not want to be bathed or groomed. This meant he was usually left in filthy clothes for up to 4-5 days. His hair was greasy and filled with dandruff from lack of washing. Please seriously consider a different facility where your loved ones will get the care and respect they so deserve.

The staff is caring, compassionate, and competent. The focus of quality care is evident in the way things have been changing. Communication is kept open and management is responsive and present for residents, staff, and families alike. Our goal is to exceed the expectations of residents and families. We have many activities to chose from on a daily basis to keep you active and the community is warm and welcoming. We have onsite laboratory services, hair salon, therapies, and 24 hour nurse availability. We welcome you to come over and see what our Fivestar family and community have to offer.

My father is a retired UW-Madison professor and was transferred to Sebring from Coventry Village for additional care. Sadly, Sebring was so terribly understaffed and poorly run, my father fell twelve times. One night he had to go to the bathroom, no one responded to his call button or cries, so he crawled on the floor to the hallway and was found there the next morning by a visiting nurse. One evening when I was there, Dad needed help in the bathroom so I pushed his call button myself. No one came. I looked through the halls, but no one around. After 45 minutes someone showed up from another floor. To protect him from neglect, we moved him out of Sebring.

This is a poorly run facility from my experience. Sebring is very unorganized, the employees don’t seem to be treated very well as many of them appear to be quite unhappy and work slowly. The turn around rate for RNs and CNAs is higher than a healthy amount. I would love to see this facility flourish and grow but in my years of coming here nothing has changed.
