It’s a shame how people are treated there. My mom went for rehab at this facility due to leg surgery. The social worker Deidra is useless. She doesn’t answer the phone and when you leave a message she doesn’t return your calls. Calls meaning multiple calls and messages left. To my knowledge, social workers are suppose to provide support and advocate for patients but she doesn’t even do her job and simply pick up the phone or return a call. Simon is also bad at picking up calls and returning them. Some of the employees think all of the patients are senile and don’t have family who care and check in. One of the employees marked my mom down as having already received her shot to prevent blood clotting. She never gave it to her! So when my mom asked the lady after her on duty, she accused my mom of lying telling her she received the shot already. My mom took it to the supervisor who used the excuse of the first lady having an emergency and needing to leave. He apologized and of course tried to cover it up because my mom was indeed NOT lying. His employee was. Of course the other lady didn’t apologize for calling my mom a liar. They lack communication skills. The only time they reach out is to find out about Medicaid. They want everyone who has private insurance to apply for Medicaid. I’m sure it’s better money for them while they serve disgusting mediocre food. They have new patients check off things they want for meals and don’t even bother serving them what they want. The place is gross and outdated as well.
