I have never smelled anything bad. Sometimes the floors need sweeping, but these people do a pretty good job taking care of the residence as far as I can see.

I am writing this review with deep pain and disappointment. My brother passed away this month at only 36 years old, and one of the most heartbreaking truths I learned is that he chose hospice in part because he never wanted to return to this facility. I tried many times to move him to another place, but he felt it would take too long. He had already made friends there friends who felt the same way he did about the conditions and treatment. Knowing that this environment played a role in how easily he made such a final decision has broken my heart. During my visits, the room was consistently filthy. The CNA/LPN’s were often rude and dismissive. There was only one Lady who worked there that treated my brother with genuine kindness so much so that he specifically asked me to say goodbye to her and to his friend for him. That alone speaks volumes. One visit in particular is something I will never forget. I arrived to find my brother standing, visibly bleeding, nauseous, and clearly unwell. There was blood on his body and blood on the floor, and he was wearing a soiled diaper that had not been changed. He was in distress and needed immediate assistance. I called for staffs to help, but staff took an unacceptable amount of time to respond. My brother was suffering, and I was forced to step in and assist him myself while waiting. No family member should ever have to handle a situation like that in a medical facility. Looking back, I deeply regret not documenting what I witnessed. Had I taken photos of my brother’s condition and the environment that day, there would have been undeniable evidence of the level of neglect he endured. In addition to the care issues, the facility felt extremely unsafe and poorly monitored. Anyone could walk in freely there was no sign in process, no security, and no sense of control over who was entering or exiting the building. This lack of oversight is alarming, especially in a place housing vulnerable patients. Equally concerning was the complete lack of access to administration. Every time I attempted to speak with someone in the office, no one was available. Even when I showed up in person during business hours, the office was consistently empty. On the rare occasions when staff were present, the door was closed, phone calls went unanswered, and attempts to communicate were ignored. There was no accountability and no support for families trying to advocate for their loved ones. After my brother passed, I returned to collect his belongings, including extremely important documents and his wallet. His wallet was returned empty, containing only cards and no cash. It took over 24 hours for staff to locate his belongings, and when my cousin went to retrieve them, we were repeatedly told they “couldn’t find” the bags. This is not a place I would ever recommend to anyone. No family should feel that placing a loved one here is anything short of abandoning them to neglect. The environment felt more like a jail than a care facility cold walls, belongings being constantly stolen, ignorance from staff, and moments of blatant disrespect, including staff laughing within earshot as if patients and families could not hear or feel it. I am deeply disappointed, hurt, and angry. The people in facilities like this are vulnerable and deserve love, dignity, attention, protection, and safety. I sincerely hope this place is either shut down or undergoes serious reform so no other family has to experience what mine did.

A very old building with very old looking interior, however the staff truly care and are there for the patients. The day staff is the best in my opinion, the night staff is good just not as good as the day staff. I sent my mother here for a month or so and I felt she was in good hands when I left her at night. They allow smoking which very few rehabs do nowadays. They don’t have a big facility it’s very small with limited spaces to visit, unless the patient has his/her own room. It’s all about the staff though, and they are good.
