Salishan Gardens

Salishan Gardens is an affordable housing community in Tacoma, Washington, serving low-income seniors aged 62 and older. The community features 54 one-bedroom apartments in a green-friendly building with energy-saving features and is situated as a key component of the Salishan neighborhood's ongoing revitalization.

The community provides a services coordinator to connect residents to community and medical services. Rent is determined on a HUD basis, with tenants typically paying 30 percent of their monthly adjusted income.

Residents are permitted to keep common household pets in their apartments, with pet rules in place regarding registration, inoculation, waste disposal, and restraint in common areas. Service and assistance animals are also welcome, and management does not apply pet rules to assistance animals or their owners.

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas, and residents must sign a non-smoking agreement. The community is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for residents with disabilities where necessary to ensure equal opportunity to use and enjoy their apartments and common areas.
