This is, and always has been, a top-notch elderly care facility. I have had 5 family members stay there. They are always attentive, caring, and available to meet your needs. The negative reviewers are not leaving reviews for the correct place.

My sister is a patient here. She currently in Afib. I went an asked for her medication. The tech who distribute the medication. Said no she has to wait until we pass it out later on. She needs her medicine to make her heart rate go down. She refused to help her. I would not bring anyone here. Worst nursing home I ever been to. They are so heartless here. If anything happens to my sister. I will make sure They will be responsible! When she arrived here the first night. The room they put here in was so dirty. The floor was all sticky. The mattress to the bed was broken. They had to stick three pillows under the mattress . To make it sit properly. Think twice before you put your love ones here!!!

I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the quality of care, communication, and overall conditions at St. Elizabeth Rehabilitation Facility, where my father was recently a patient.<br><br>Upon arrival, I immediately noticed that my father’s room was not clean. I personally had to purchase cleaning supplies and clean the room myself, as no staff members took the initiative to address the issue. Throughout his stay, it was apparent that many staff members were temporary or agency workers who often lacked attentiveness and consistency. Requests for assistance were frequently met with delays or resistance.<br><br>Each time I visited, my father’s Foley catheter was full, and I had to empty it myself due to staff neglect. My father also has a nephrostomy tube, which requires regular care and monitoring. This level of inattention is unacceptable, especially considering he was recently hospitalized for an infection — an infection that could easily recur under such conditions.<br><br>Communication at the facility has been extremely poor. I requested that my father be transferred as soon as I observed these issues, but I was repeatedly given the runaround. When the transfer was finally approved, I was informed that he would need to be transported after 7:30 PM. I also asked if his insurance would cover transportation, and Joyce, a social worker director , stated she would check and follow up.<br><br>Approximately one hour later, I received a call from my father — he was already in a transport vehicle leaving the facility, without my authorization or prior notification. As my father’s Power of Attorney, I should have been contacted before any discharge or transport took place. The receiving facility also confirmed they had not been notified of his early arrival.<br><br>Shortly afterward, I received a call from the transportation company requesting payment, stating that Joyce had arranged the transport and provided my contact information. This was done without my approval. When I contacted Joyce, she falsely claimed she had only submitted a request, not scheduled the transport. The transportation manager later confirmed that Joyce had, in fact, arranged everything directly. I told her she can call St Elizabeth for payment because I did not approve this ride and further more no one at the facility told me my dad was gone.<br><br>This series of events demonstrates a severe lack of organization, communication, and accountability. The decision to send my father offsite without my knowledge or consent is not only unprofessional but potentially negligent.<br><br>Based on my experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend this facility. The environment is unclean, disorganized, and unsafe, with insufficient communication among staff. I strongly urge families to remain vigilant if their loved ones are admitted here.

Absolutely terrible terrible! Nurses ignored my mother for hours at a time and wouldn’t take her to the bathroom. My mom was a fall risk, and thr nurse had her stand up alone while she fixed the best abd of course my mom fell resulting in terrible purple bruises on her whole entire left side of her body from her head to her ankles! EXTREMELY NEGLECTFUL, NURSING STAFF IS INCOMPETENT AND NEGLECTFUL! NOT JUST TO MY MOTHER BUT TO HER ROOM MATE AND EVERY PERSON ON THE UNIT! Disgraceful place! I would t send my worst enemy here

If you care for your lived one, DO NOT use any iteration of St. Elizabeth's. My mom was there and she was not ASSISTED. Her room was unkempt and she was basically ignored until her money wss gone and they kicked her out. Without proof, they said she had Alzheimer's, which once I got her to a proper facility was found to be untrue. Dementia was the actual diagnosis, well documented and treated by the angels at St Clare's in Newport.<br>St. Elizabeth's is an abomination!
