I drove by the apartment building and seen drugs activity and people hanging out drinking hanging out not a place to put my love one there, I walk through building and seen dirty carpet load noise and guest of other people disrespecting tenants. I want be putting no one in my family their. Bad place!!!!

My dad lived here for 5 years, ending 3 years ago, when it was owned by Cassia/Augustana. The aides were great...caring and kind. The director of housing was super helpful when he moved in and out. The social worker, Carol, was there for me with solid advice when dad would be having difficulties. As others have said, the facility may not be in tip top shape but the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I returned recently and found many of the same people working there. Dad's apartment was full of light with a bay window and very roomy. He was very happy there.

Just to many issues with this place since I moved in and after reading some of the other reviews and talking to people who already live there it's really not the place for me but it's way better then being homeless and in the streets or living in a shelter. Since, living here the 1509 building has become a major problem. Security is constantly being called for one thing or another. People are scared with unwanted people who are guests of other people seem to roam the hallways and common areas. I only know I pray that things get better. One thing I can say, if I don't try helping other residents here, my mother and father would turn in there graves. I was always told to respect and help my elders whenever possible.

The place is a DUMP. Nothing has been updated or fixed in 20-30 years. If you are looking for an apartment for your loved one, LOOK ELSEWHERE.<br><br>I could go on and on, but the following photos say it all. These are photos of the condition of an apartment that my wife's great aunt lives in there. Despite multiple complaints over the last 15 years, nothing has been done. She has the same carpet that was there over 20 years ago. The walls by the window are falling apart and are absolutely gross.
