Our family just placed my Mom at the Rumford Community Home in the North Unit this summer. It was a very emotional transition for all of us. The staff at RCH are amazing! They helped us all ease into this change and showed us everyday their heart felt compassion for each resident. They helped us trust and feel like family each day. Our Mom spent several years living alone after our Dad passed away. She was not thriving any longer. She was losing her ability to communicate. We were beside ourselves not knowing what to do to help her. Since we moved her to RCH she is amazing! She is thriving, laughing, talking, joking around with the staff, entertaining guests and talking on the phone! She is winning at Beano again and enjoying many of the daily activities that RCH provide! She totally enjoys the music events at RCH! The Administration at RCH is helpful, easy to work with, informative and available. They guided us through the entire process and were very patient and understanding. I highly recommend Rumford Community Home to anyone that has a need. I strongly encourage people to consider a career at the RCH!!

I cannot speak highly enough about this building here in our community. The level of care that the staff brings to the residents is a model for how senior housing should be run. Frankly, I would love to invite all of the other facilities in the state on a day trip to observe what goes on in this building. The residents aren’t just laying in the bed. They’re very active during the day. The place is clean. The maintenance men are incredibly helpful and the residents are engaged with the entire staff. In my own experience for helping a friend get settled in, it has been nothing short of a miracle for helping with his depression and for giving him a great walk out the door. I truly believe that because he is now a resident of Rumford Community Home that he’s going to get a longer life! They have a great culinary team and the food is amazing. The director along with the entire staff are very willing to have conversation. If you have any questions or concerns they hear you and want to hear them in order to make your stay comfortable . Whenever I am there for a visit, what I notice is the residents are smiling and laughing And there is always something going on in the great room; everything from saying the rosary, to entertainment, to music and singalongs, to creative arts. There’s a lot of things going on in this building that is so darn good for having a family at this stage of the journey. I promise, if you’re thinking about placing a family member here? do it!! For myself I want to book my room now for when I’m older. Simply the best all around. 🌺 Beverly Ann Soucy

I had to place my uncle here after being diagnosed with dementia, he seems happy and well cared for. The food smells really good. They seem to take a personal interstellar in him and his interests. Hes always clean and all the residents always seem very happy. Never once have a been there and seen an unhappy patient. And theybare very Informative when I ask questions about this disease. They call often to inform me of his care ,his demeanor and overall health and well being. Doreen is amazing g. Shes always so very nice and will.listen as long as I need her to and has evan come iver ro chit chat when we visit and help if we need help understand why or what he is saying and doing. Its a long drive up there so they understand when we cant make it up weekly and will call and give us updates quite often.

My mom is on North for memory care. I feel we were lucky to have her placed here when it became a must. I love the staff that I am familiar with. I do feel that they could use more help here tho. I know that they do the very best and go above and beyond with what they are dealt. Roxanne, Reva and Brenda are shining stars in my eyes. So loving and caring and deserve the greatest of praise
