Family member sent from hospital for non acute short term rehab, 12 days. Staff were kind, many working hard. Facility is OUTDATED & should be renovated ASAP.. 4 patients in a room, separated by thin curtains. Almost NO outdoor space (tiny patio). PT room tiny. Most patients advanced dementia, no speaking. Since no beds open other places, 28 days went by. Upsetting families have to research & wait for elder care.I emailed the owners but haven't heard back. No one should be earning a profit from this space...sad. I admire the staff. I could not work there, and visiting bothered me, but I was there often

This day and age, it’s not easy to find a facility that will care for your loved ones with the level of attention that you would if there was the ability. Wayland Nursing goes the extra mile for its residents. They’re staff; from the Director, Nursing Director, HR personnel, PT, nurses, and staff have all been beyond caring and personable in a way that our loved one feels they are as close to home sweet home as possible. After a long search, I truly appreciate this team.

My grandmother has been at Royal Wayland for over 7 years and we have been happy with her care. Everyone seems to know her well and we always feel welcomed when we visit! Always enjoy their seasonal decorations to make it special for residents!

Finding the right place can be a daunting task. But from the moment we stepped into Wayland, we knew it was different. It wasn't just sterile hallways and institutional vibes. It felt warm and inviting, with comfortable furniture. The staff truly goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. They weren't just caregivers, they were kind and compassionate, treating all with respect and dignity. It felt more like family taking care of family than a clinical setting. I can't recommend Wayland enough. If you're looking for a place that provides exceptional care in a home-like environment, this is the place! Update: Following up on our initial experience, Wayland continues to exceed our expectations. The genuine care we observed on our first visit has been consistently maintained. The staff's dedication to creating a family-like atmosphere is truly remarkable, and we've seen firsthand how their compassion positively impacts residents daily. We're so grateful to have found such a wonderful place.

I moved my husband to Royal after having him at a five-star facility with beautiful furniture but rude staff! At Royal he was cared for with respect and kindness and his personal preferences were noted and responded to. Large isn't always good as I discovered. Sometimes good things come in small packages and although a small facility, they have what counts - good care.
