My mother was offered to go here for Rehab after a fall. This facility was miss-represented as a 4 out 5 star facility. First impression is OLD, the building was probably a 1920's hotel. Ok, that doesn't mean it is not a good rehab, WRONG. She was put in a bed in tiny room with another patient literally 3 feet away who very loudly watched a news station sun up to sun down. Repeated requests to staff would not accomplish any results ie: headphones etc. (not a healing environment). Some of the staff were very professional and very good at what they do, unfortunately not all were. An incident late at night where movement protocol was blatantly and willfully refused my mother was further injured. Upon presentation of this to the assistant director he brushed it off as probably an agency staff and did not seem concerned at all. He then got very upset that the call button and phone had been wrapped on the bed handles by his staff and stated that really upset him, and proceeded to untie them. In no way shape or form would I recommend you send your loved one here. We were fortunate to get her out the next day.

Visited a relative here. Not a lot of parking. Views from the room was Overlooking a small harbor. Patient food was described as excellent. Care nurses are attentive.

The neglect at this facility is egregious and thinly veiled. Without a constant, external presence of advocacy, you or your loved one are likely not to receive the proper care.

My sister is a client there and it is a delight to visit her as the staff is so friendly and helpful! Activities are ongoing to keep all patients occupied if they so desire.. The 4 th floor is beautiful with lots of windows to look out on the water. Lunch is served there every week day, and a gorgeous sitting area to visit with my sister .She feels very happy to be there..

My wife has been in 3 different Royal Rehabilitation complexes over the years and Royal Megansett is far and away the best. The location is calming and quite lovely, overlooking Megansett Harbour. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone from housecleaning to nursing makes a real effort to accommodate any requests as quickly as possible. And always with a smile. The menu is complete and the food is well prepared. Visiting hours are generous and children are permitted. Although no one ever looks forward to going to rehab, if you have a choice I would recommend Royal Megansett. Updated 9 September 2023
