At first, it seemed like this facility was helping out my mother. She couldn’t get into any other facility, because she wasn’t expected to live more than 30 days. They generally charge $5,500 per month. She was there for exactly 14 days. In total, we were charged around $10,000 for those 14 days. They were made completely aware that she only had a few weeks left and that they were our only option. She was a very poor woman and now that she’s gone—I have to pay the remaining balance of around $7,000. This has crippled me financially. They couldn’t care less. They immediately threatened to sue and wouldn’t take my offer to pay for a full month plus the $2,500 deposit. I can’t afford a lawyer. These people are vultures.
