After looking in to private, residential care homes near Georgetown/ Round Rock, Tx area over a year ago, I chose the best. I moved my dear Mother into a large private room at A Serene Setting in Round Rock. My Mother has received the best care and attention over this last year at Serene Setting. I was pleased to see initially my Mother would cooperate and get up in a wheelchair to the central living areas, )after staying bedbound for the previous 2 years. The caring staff are long term...always present, busy cleaning and cooking up great meals in the kitchen! I am very pleased to have my Mother in this fine home, surrounded with a tree filled lot. Great over-seeing and communication from owner's, Rey and Coleen Cruz! I highly recommend this residential care home for your loved ones. Richele Fowler 08/11/2024

For the past few years I have served as the caregiver for a family friend and helped him transition to an assisted living facility in 2019. About two years ago I helped him move to A Serene Setting where he lived until he passed away in June 2023. During the two years he lived at A Serene Setting I was very impressed with everything about the living facility. It was truly like a home where everyone was family. Colleen and Rey were always available and were willing to help and assist anytime anything was needed. The staff was always very friendly and took time to check on and visit with my friend. I could not have asked for anything more and am happy to highly recommend A Serene Setting to anyone who is looking for a "home" for their parent or loved one.

After comparing the rest, I brought my mother to the best! My mother is so relaxed and well taken care of here! The staff is amazing!!! They are extremely attentive, clean, and friendly! Ray and Colleen treat everyone like family! That is what it is here… a big family who can cook amazing food!!! I would highly recommend this facility to my family and friends or anyone who is in need of a great place for their aging parents.

You need not worry about the safety, or care of your loved one at A Serene Setting. Our mother Sonja, had the best care during her 6 year stay. The staff, is very friendly, and genuinely takes an interest in their residents. Sonja was very happy and was able to make some good friends during her stay. We highly recommend this facility. Ray and Colleen treat their residents like family.

This is a family run group home that creates a sense of family that for the last year half of my dad's life really made a difference in terms of his well being both physical and emotional. Colleen, Reynaldo, their two young daughters, and their staff run the place like the home it is. The level of care far exceeded our previous experiences in other group and nursing homes and beat the care at a pricy rehabilitation hospital. Two staff members are on duty at all times and in the morning there are three, so dad never had to wait or repeatedly call for help. During his last months the regular turning and wound care was done punctually and with great compassion. There is an open friendly vibe to the place with humor and compassion for all. We celebrated birthdays, new borns, and holidays (the pot luck Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners with all the residents and their families was lots of fun). With my dad's passing we still feel connected and we'll stop by from time to time to see the family and the other residents who we have come to know and love.
