I went to Rollingbrook Rehabilitation for the first time today to visit my grandmother and was so pleasantly pleased. Compared to the last place my grandmother stayed, Rollingbrook was clean, did not smell, had a more modern check-in system, and the staff was welcoming and kind.

My grandmother’s room was clean and she said the staff was friendly. I’m grateful they are taking good care of her.

A friend of mine was looking for a skilled nursing facility/rehab center in the area and knew my dad had been at Rollingbrook awhile back.We had talked about my review that listed specifics with names and care teams, etc. (it’s been about 2 years since my dad was there, so my memory of the details are a little fuzzy). I was surprised to find that she was correct…my review was not there…maybe it never posted correctly in the first place? I’m not sure. I cannot imagine it would be removed.

I am bummed that it isn’t there for whatever reason, but I hope that somehow all the individual names…and the examples of the staff showing love, grace, support and amazing care for my father and our family….were read by enough people to spread the word about this wonderful facility.

No facility is without its faults, and ultimately a true 5-Star review for ANY facility would not be possible if five stars meant “perfection”.
I felt then and still feel today that taking everything into account…after observing various staff members at every level and in multiple capacities…that my dad received the best care possible at Rollingbrook. From the administrators to the nurses, specialists, support staff, housekeeping and volunteers…we had people going above and beyond to keep my dad as comfortable as possible, and treated him with much respect and dignity during his transition out of this life. I watched them try and navigate through great adversity after a tropical storm had ripped through the area. It was a grueling July week, with only generators powering the building. Everyone was working so hard to keep patients monitored and safe while exhausted themselves, with no reprieve from the summer heat and humidity. The patients’ well-being was top-priority, even though many of them had extensive damage to their own homes with which to try and mitigate.

They did so much to help and accommodate our family in many ways as well, and showed great compassion from day one. We will forever be grateful to the ENTIRE staff who cared for my father at Rollingbrook…Belinda, Dana, Taylor, Rhilynne…too many to mention…but the Lord put them in our path when we needed them for those two months. That was Him at work in the hands and hearts of this staff…and it continues to be! Thank you, Rollingbrook!
