Where do I start? I’ll go to the pros, Big shout to Ershaad, Tom, Phillip, John, Ward, the physical therapy team is magnificent! Aside from the great physical therapy, had the crazy build sessions with all of them. Big shout to Nia and Ashley and Fran for keeping the facility occupied with activities for the residents, which I found to be the most integral part of the facility. Keeping the residents engaged and feeling alive during their stay I feel really helps with recovery. Nia and Ashley gets the Oouu Oouu, (OG call). Another MVP is Larry, CNA on the second floor. Made me feel comfortable and human. He was the only one that made sure I showered and changed my linen. Ms Sosa, supervisor was really helpful. There were a couple of other CNA’s that were good to me who I can’t remember their names. The social worker staff was on point, the dietitian( very knowledgeable but hands were tied), Mr Otis, the 5th floor recreational manager and the security guards were good as well. The worst thing about the facility was the meals and the medicine dispersal. The meals were mostly bad and didn’t follow up to my diet plan. 6 times I had to Uber Eats. It was like hit or miss. I had like 4 decent meals and everything else was 🗑️. I have pictures. My medications were wrong, I had a set list of medication which was changed by the facility doctor. Some days I didn’t get certain medication and the time schedule was off, due to poor staffing. Some of the nurses were by themselves on a whole floor. The money is there, higher the correct amount of staff. I researched the company thoroughly and the owner and the board should be ashamed of themselves. The Universe doesn’t like ugly. Spend the money on staffing and payroll so the workers can do their jobs efficiently. Got to show your team love. Every floor reeked of urine, feces and puke, and from my astute observations, because there wasn’t enough CNA’s to stay on top of the situation. The patients deserve the comfort. I wouldn’t mind coming back and volunteering to help with the residents recreation. I can read to them, play games and even DJ music for them. I even did karaoke with them. Stop being cheap.
