I went to the ER due to major stomach pain, one doctor told me it could be appendicitis one said a uti one said a chest infection, I have my medical card and smoked before to help ease the pain, one of the nurses explained that they don’t judge and they don’t care, about 30 minutes or so I was being put into a private room that was overly sprayed with air freshener I could barley breathe on top of the breathing issues I was having. Not a very great place.

The emergency room Dr helped save my son's life! Dr. Dacquel was working on 9/21/24 and long story short, he listened with our a doubt to me & my son, and did a test that confirmed the worst and got my baby help. I am so grateful for him & the staff that was working that day 🙏

My doctor sent me there because of three days of non stop diarrhea. I was dizzy and felt like i was going to pass out. Guy in ER sent me home with ear drops. Told me it was most likely the start of an ear infection. 6 hours later i was taken back to the ER because i passed out and got an concussion. My sodium and mineral levels were so low they admitted me to the hospital. Then when i had a allergic reaction to the meds they gave me i was told welcome to menopause. Took a week and me flipping out before they would even stop to listen to me. My "menopause" disappeared after they changed my meds. I wouldn't take my dog to Guthrie. I miss the memorial hospital. A REPLY TO GUTHRIE: You need a better answer than that. You act like i took your crap and did nothing. I did contact many dept. at guthrie. NOT ONE REPLY. If it doesn't bring in money you dont care. Love your high rating by the way.😆

Very positive experience in the ER today when my daughter needed stitches. We were seen very quickly and the nurse, Danielle, was fantastic. Dr Krass was really wonderful as well. He has an excellent bedside manner and sutured very well. Very pleased and I will not hesitate to send my patients (I’m a local pediatrician) to Guthrie Towanda when they need emergency services

Terrible Emergency Room service. When you bring a 1 year old in with a fever of 103°+ who just had a seizure and who is vomiting and shaking in the waiting room You pay attention. If there's no beds available I get it. Rather than gossip over a wallet someone lost earlier and just called about, pay attention or check on the child..... Rather than have 5-6 plus hospital staff and 5 EMT's standing around talking and not assisting patients, go check on the child. Rather than all of that happening and make us wait with no assistance, no concern for the child's well being. No temperature check, no meds offered or willing to give. Just wait an unknown amount of time. Might has well have been on the other side of town because if you're in the waiting room you get no attention paid to you whatsoever. How about a floating nurse or someone willing to come into the waiting room when no beds are available. I come from a family background so I respect and appreciate all medical staff. This was unacceptable and this is the 3rd time this identical thing has happened. I've called 911 on the way to the ER. Same thing everytime. No cause for concern and nothing other than a non reassuring "we'll get you in soon" every 15 minutes. Pretend like you care. I get it, you've seen it all and nothing phases you anymore. Your patients have not. Have a little respect and concern for their concerns. Walk into the waiting room and check on patients for 2 seconds. If we just called 911 we would have gotten right in which is the sad thing. I shouldn't have to pay for a $3500 ambulance ride to get right into the ER. Guthrie takes 90% of this blame. The E.R. staff the other 10%. There has to be a better way. Not to mention each E.R. visit turns into a 5 hour ordeal when everything takes an hour. You sit there for 3 extra hours waiting to leave. All while other patients struggle to get in the same way we did. Horrendous service and something needs to change. We deserve better.
