We are incredibly grateful for the outstanding care Right at Home provides for our loved one. From day one, they have demonstrated immense knowledge about a person's care needs and invested the time to meet with us in order to ensure a good match for us. Right at Home is exceptionally reliable, communicative, and proactive about all health needs. Our primary caregiver has and continues to be April Brewer, she has gone above and beyond to ensure our loved one feels respected, safe and well taken care of. Knowing April is there gives our entire family complete peace of mind. We highly recommend Right at Home to anyone seeking top-tier elder care.

I've been a caregiver working for Right at Home in Scarborough for about a year now. It has been a truly great experience. The office staff is warm, friendly and helpful and the training offered is invaluable. I would recommend them both as a great place to work and a great place to find care or companionship for your loved one.

I have to admit, I am not one to write reviews. However, this company deserves every star in the sky (I wish there were more than 5 on the ratings). The caretakers do such an incredible job with our loved ones because the foundation of the company is so solid. The office staff is above and beyond any great words I could possibly find in the dictionary. They are compassionate, brilliant, hard-working and their employees love and adore them. Which, in turn, makes them want to deliver the very best work performance possible no matter what. If you have a person in your life that needs assistance that feels more like family rather than a stranger working in your home, congratulations...you found it by clicking on Right at Home.

For approximately 1 1/2 years we had a caregiver in 3-4 times a week to feed my mother supper, sit with her, get her ready for bed, and put her into bed. Caregivers were habitually 10-15 minutes late. Unless I contacted Right At Home, they were unaware of the late arrivals. This despite a system whereby caregivers clocked in by phone and GPS only enabled this when their phone was in the vicinity. When it got past 15 minutes and I called, they were always surprised, they did not seem to monitor the clock-in system so were not aware when caregivers were not on time. A few times caregivers were very late or were no-shows, only once or twice did Right At Home notify me, the discovery was almost always a result of me calling to report that a caregiver was not here. Unless I contacted the office, we were billed for the full shift even when caregivers were late. Early on, I asked that caregivers send me a text at the end of the evening to confirm my mother was in bed and everything was OK. I was told that caregivers could not text me directly, communication had to go through the office. But, no one was in the office at 8:00 or 9:00 at night when a caregiver left, so I did not insist. Aside from the reliability issues, once caregivers showed up, they were generally good. Ana Mika (who was always on time), was especially good, she appeared to genuinely care about my mother's well-being, asked how she had been between visits, and took wonderful care of Mom while she was here. We will miss Ana.
