I appreciate every thing they do here, it’s been a blessing.. I would not put my friend anywhere else than Ridge Valley. Stephanie in the Business office has always helped me with the business side of things as well as updates on my friend. Thanks to all the CNAs and nurses.

My husband was at Ridge Valley twice in 2025, for five-day hospice respite periods. The care was good enough. However, they did not bill hospice for nursing, and other, services, as they are supposed to. He has been getting incorrect balance bills for a full year, likely because Ridge Valley billed Medicare instead of hospice for the charges other than room and board. So they get a zero from me.

I have an elderly friend there who has had a hard time in some ways. Her own, personal (with her name on it), wheel chair disappeared while she was taking a shower. She says most of the staff are nice, but some are "sassy". They served raw potatoe wedges the other day. It looks like a clean facility, at least. I just don't know...

My Aunt has been at Ridge Valley several times for short term rehab and has transitioned to long term care about 6 months ago. I live in Illinois and travel to Wilkesboro several times per year to check on her, as well as other relatives that live in Wilkes County. I am very appreciative of the excellent care she has received each time she has been here. The care, compassion and genuine concern for her wellbeing from every staff member makes her feel like she is being attended to by family. She genuinely loves living here, so much so, that she made it very clear to her family that she felt much safer here than living independently and has been healthier; mentally and physically since moving here than she was in the recent past. I am very thankful for the entire staff that make every effort to attend to her needs.

My mother-in-law was placed in this facility at my daughter’s recommendation. My daughter has been a nurse for four years and has firsthand experience with a variety of facilities. With that in mind, Ridge Valley has by far exceeded our expectations and is the best place we could have chosen for her care. The staff is consistently kind, attentive, and responsive to her needs. We have also had very positive interactions with both the administrator and the Director of Nursing, who are approachable and genuinely invested in resident care. Every time we visit or call to check on my mother-in-law, she shares nothing but positive experiences about the staff and her time at Ridge Valley. If you are searching for a facility that truly prioritizes compassionate, high-quality care for your loved one, I highly recommend Ridge Valley.
