My husband is a resident at RMC as I write this. I appreciate each and everyone who comes in contact with him. He resides on Unit four. Yes, there have been issues but together they have been resolved. From the CNAS, the nurses, the social workers and Patriots Hospice have been wonderful. Richard has progressed so much. But, a lady named Lydia has given my husband a new lease on life. She has taught him how to eat, swallow and clear his mouth. It means the world to Richard and myself.<br>I thank God for RMC and what they are doing for us. Love you all.

I was at first pleased and excited my precious Veteran Daddy got into Richard Campbell VNH. But my elation soon and very soon turned to dismay and heartbreak. This was shortly after Covid (the heartache took me a while to do the review) … anytime I wanted to visit - my Daddy’s unit was on Covid lockdown. I did a “surprise” drop by one day - my precious clean shaven Daddy was dirty, had not had a bath in who knows how long, his eyes were almost matted shut, and the smell of my Daddy (who took pride in being clean shaven and clean) was terrible. His “diaper” was soiled so badly it looked like he had it in for days. I was advised they were “short staffed” due to covid. Fast forward a few weeks - the day after July 4, 2022 - I received a call my daddy was not acting right- was in a fetal position and wouldn’t get up to walk and was asked “what did I want to do?” Well- take him to the emergency room- they did just that - called EMS - I made my way to the hospital- found my precious daddy pushed in the corner of the ER - with no NO paperwork - was just given his name - my precious Daddy smelled and was soiled 😢😠… was by himself with dementia!!! With NO PAPERWORK!! I told the nurse in charge who he was and he was from RCVNH - she had to call to get paperwork! The did a CT scan - the wonderful neurosurgeon showed me some VERY INTERESTING INFORMATION- he had fallen- not one, twice but 4 times / hard enough to have brainbleeds and a significant brain shift. They immediately scheduled brain surgery- the outcome was not what we wanted. DADDY soon slipped into a coma and passed away July 15, 2022. You ask - why not sue them - well basically you can’t.. took WEEKS to get his charts released - which were not complete. It was a losing battle. I would NOT recommend this place for your loved one - especially if they have dementia. On top of all that - the lost / gave away my daddy’s last belongings. Thank you for listening to my story of my precious Daddy.
