Reata Glen has been the perfect place for my father after losing my mom in July. He was living in a senior community that was very quiet with little to no social opportunities or activities. From his first visit with Tami Olsen (Residency Counselor), he was made to feel welcome and couldn’t walk down the halls without several people stopping to talk and introduce themselves. I get updates daily and am amazed at all of the things he is doing. Balance classes, line dancing, poker club, swimming laps in their amazing pool, and is going to a karaoke party tonight. I join him for weekly lunches and the food is great and the service is so friendly. I couldn’t ask for a better place for my Dad who is thriving after a time of such loss. Thank you to Tami for all of her help, patience, and encouragement during the entire process. If you are even thinking about Reata Glen, I would start the application process because you will want to be ready when the perfect unit becomes available.

Found this great place for mom! My mom had some friends at Reata Glen. She was looking for a nice Independent Living space for her next chapter in life. She had been looking around for a while, had friends at numerous locations but fell in love with the amenities, upkeep, and favorable review by all the current residents at Reata Glen. She's been there for over six months now and every time we talk she tells me she truly loves it. From the various activities to keep your mind sharp, your body physically active and the social activities...it's all really been a great experience for her. Every time I visit I am struck by the beauty of the place, how they treat their residents and also how they celebrate holidays.

When we started our journey looking for a retirement community, we looked at 7 different communities. Two in Arizona & the rest in California, one of them being Casa Dorinda in Montecito. They were all wonderful properties, but Reata Glen was the one for us. The residents are so welcoming. We have made so many connections & friends since moving here. We’ve found that the people are phenomenal. Everyone has such different backgrounds, yet everyone is down to earth, easy going, & unpretentious. Everyone is willing to help one another which we really appreciate. The staff from top management down to food & beverage & maintenance departments, they are all accommodating & eager to take care of the residents. The food is great. They have lots of options from gluten free to vegetarian, to the meat eater. There is a wide variety to suit everyone’s pallet. Andrea the Food & Beverage director is amazing. The 2 fitness calendars are awesome. You can be as busy as you’d like to be here. There are so many options & classes. The wellbeing & happiness is a very important element of Reata Glen. It’s obvious that the staff really cares about your health. There are endless activities such aa excursions, theater, music venues, you can do as much as you want, or as little as you’d like. As a new resident you get a “new resident” name tag that is very helpful for new residents to feel welcomed. All of the staff really want to make you feel comfortable & stress free during the move- in process. As a previous home owner- living here removes the stress & worries of daily life living in your home. We tell others Reata Glen is like living between a country club & a cruise ship. We love the area this community is located in. There is lots of shopping & restaurants located nearby & the beach is just a few miles away. We think having the assisted living next door, The Orchards, is a major plus. Knowing that it’s on our same campus & there if ever needed gives us peace of mind. The Orchards is like a miniature Reata Glen, we’d give it an A+ in staff & facility. It’s a great level of comfort knowing how close it is.

We have now lived here three months after an extensive search, visiting 10 different senior communities throughout the west. Something we really liked about Reata Glen is the spacious landscaped campus and the variety of home options that are offered. We were surprised at the variety of the food in the restaurants. The point system gives us tremendous flexibility as to when and what we want to eat. We are avid gym users and appreciate the fitness center; it is well equipped and has a great variety of fitness classes. The residents have been so welcoming! It is easy to make friends here. Despite the fact that this is a high end community, we have found no pretention among the residents, and there is a delightful, casual vibe. We liked the financial program where long term care is included with being a resident, and the ease of the transition to the Orchards when/if necessary. And we have a cat, so appreciated that there is no additional costs for cats!

My husband and I are both from India, and moved here just over a month ago. Living here we have felt only inclusivity from the residents. This property feels like a five star resort, or a large cruise ship that never sets sail. The people who live here on this campus are very friendly, we have felt immediately welcomed. Our “new resident” name badge sets us apart from the other residents, we enjoy this because residents come and stop and come up and talk us. They welcome us and help us feel at home. The staff here are great, we have only has great experiences with them. We feel that they have pampered us. There are so many exercise classes here that we love; swimming, the gym, tennis, pickleball, and tap dance. The swimming pool is amazing!! There is a lot of intellectual activities here that we enjoy, the different groups and presentations are something we really look forward to. I wish there was something negative I could say, but honestly everything has been great. The dining room is amazing. The food and beverage staff that are high schoolers or college students, are very welcoming, full of energy, and friendly. There is great variety here that we enjoy, and a good spread of yummy desserts. This beautiful property surrounded by mountain and hills is so vibrant. The number of services and activities you can experience here are endless. Reata Glen is very different than other retirement communities, it sticks out and is very unique. Our lives are full here.
