Be aware facility has confirmed covid for over a week and just now reacting after it spreading rapidly. If you notice they conveniently covered the word covid on the front door they were forced to post by the health department. My opinion they are downplaying and are in denial to themselves.

My family and I were very pleased with the care our mother received at Carolina Point. My sister and I made an impromptu visit before our mother was placed there for rehabilitation services, and from the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. The receptionist was warm and friendly, and the young lady who gave us a tour was extremely kind and informative. The facility itself was very clean, and every staff member we encountered was professional and attentive to the patients. We were shown both the rehabilitation and long-term care areas, and it was clear that patients on both sides were well cared for. After my mom was admitted, the staff met with me to explain the type of care she would receive following her evaluation. I had the opportunity to meet everyone involved in her care—from administrators to her nurses—and they were all incredibly attentive. My mom, who suffered from dementia, was treated with compassion and respect, and her safety was always a top priority. What stood out the most was how comfortable and happy my mom was during her stay. In the past, when she was hospitalized, she would often become upset and want to go home. However, at Carolina Point, she never complained or became distressed when I left after visits. That meant everything to us. Ben, the caseworker, was especially helpful and supportive throughout the process. On the day my mom was discharged, several staff members gave her hugs, and she told them she would miss them. That moment truly spoke volumes about the level of care and connection they provided. Overall, my mom’s stay at this facility was a very positive experience, and we are truly grateful for the care she received.

Came in to visit my aunt today and I was horrified by the staff I tried to ask a question and I was given a sarcastic and rude response complete with eye roll by an aid with no name tag who smelled of marijuana and body odor. Health care has gone so far down hill in this state and its clear staff have stopped caring about the residents. I will say the facility is clean and the receptionist at the front was actually very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately you get what you pay for with these facilities so it could always be worse. At least its not the Brian Center Southpoint Rehab.

Heartbreaking Neglect — Please Don’t Send Your Loved One Here I would give this place zero stars if I could. My husband was admitted to PruittHealth Carolina Point for short-term rehab after a terrible motorcycle accident that left him with a traumatic brain injury. At first, I thought he was being cared for, but within weeks, his health started to spiral and what I uncovered was horrifying. Despite my consistent presence, visiting most days and sending family or friends when I couldn’t, my husband became malnourished, dehydrated, and dangerously ill. He was not being given proper medication for blood clots, which led to clots in his lungs and legs. He developed a massive infected wound on his lower back so deep it exposed the bone. His electrolytes were critically low, including magnesium and potassium, which can be life-threatening. When I began asking questions, I was repeatedly brushed off with half-answers and excuses by Nurse Practitioner Adolly Fuabana. It was only because I refused to accept his explanations that I discovered the truth, my husband was being neglected. By the time I demanded he be taken to the emergency room, he was in serious condition and required hospitalization. The hospital staff were appalled and told me, unprompted, that this is not the first time they’ve received patients from this facility in such severe medical distress. What happened to my husband should never happen to anyone. This facility failed him in every possible way, medically, ethically, and humanly. If you love your family member, do not leave them here. If you absolutely have to send a loved one here, I urge you to visit daily, ask every question, and never assume they are getting the care they deserve. No family should ever have to live with the guilt and anger of realizing their loved one’s suffering could have been prevented. Please, take this warning seriously.

I haven't been to Carolina Point in a while, but after a recent visit I was really impressed with what I saw! The staff seemed genuinely happy and engaged. The Administrator, Kevin, was fantastic—truly showing that he cares about providing quality care for residents, their families, and his team. A really positive environment overall
