Providence Mount St. Vincent, affectionately known as “The Mount,” is a senior living community in West Seattle that is home to more than 400 older adults who need some level of assistance with daily living or require 24-hour care. Its philosophy of care is grounded in the core Providence values and centers on the needs, preferences and desires of residents, with a person-centered approach that empowers each resident to choose their own daily routines and services.
The community offers a range of living and care options, including independent living apartments, assisted living, and specially designed neighborhoods focused on individual choices and personal needs. There are 109 apartments available for singles and couples, giving residents the benefits of community life while maintaining an independent lifestyle, with the added peace of mind of greater assistance available in the future.
For those needing more intensive support, The Mount provides transitional/short-stay rehabilitation for recently discharged hospital patients who require additional nursing care or rehabilitation before returning home, as well as long-term nursing care.
A day health program is also offered, providing comprehensive, integrated health care and social services to help older adults living in the community remain as healthy as possible. Spiritual life is supported for the whole person through regularly scheduled mass and rosary as well as weekly Protestant services.
A distinctive feature of the campus is a licensed child care center for infants and young children, where five days a week children, residents and patients interact through planned activities such as music, art and storytelling, along with spontaneous encounters across the campus.
