I cannot say enough good things about The Promenade at Tuxedo Place. My father was fortunate enough to be a resident there for 6 years before passing recently. The staff there (though they were more like family) were professional, kind and caring, attentive and always willing to go the extra mile to help. Any concerns were always addressed in a timely and respectful manor. The facility and grounds were always well maintained and provided a home like setting. My father always referred to The Promenade as "home" and we are grateful for the safe, warm and loving community and staff that made dad's last years happy ones!

My siblings and I have been grateful to the staff for helping our parents transition from their home of 40+ years to a beautiful apartment at the Promenade. Suzanne, Amanda, Alice, and Christine have been kind, supportive, and extremely helpful on so many levels. I highly recommend this community for anyone looking for an assisted living option!

My family had a horrible experience with tuxedo place promenade! My sister and I first visited w Sadjie who we found to be lovely and informative. Days later I returned for a visit with our 92 year old mother. Upon arriving with my mother, Sadjie greeted us and sat down and chatted mom for a few minutes. She then said she was going to get the nurse to come say hello. We were then approached by Jodi Gittelman RN as well as Regional Director of Promenade senior living. Jodi approached my mother in a very harsh way. Bombarding an elderly woman with questions. She did not take the time to learn that my mother is hard of hearing and right away assumed she was confused. She started asking her what year it was etc. my mother looked confused as to why she was being asked these questions and of course answered them all appropriately. When I tried to step in and let her know my mom was hard of hearing she held her hand up at me and shhh’d me! I was appalled! If Jodi would have taken a moment to let me speak she would have learned that I am her daughter, caregiver AND a registered nurse myself. She then asked my mother to get up and walk. My mom did w a little assistance and her walker. She returned to her chair and Jodi looked at Sadjie saying “I need to speak to you inside right now!“ She did not say goodbye to us or even “nice meeting you” but just stormed away. My little 92 year old mother was left asking me if she did something wrong. I was then approached by Marion, who told me that they could not “handle” my mother. She said she would just require too much assistance. I said that surprised me as I saw a woman there who was wheelchair bound that they were wheeling around. She said your mother has to be capable of making her way around the entire facility 100 percent on her own to come here. She even added “I mean she probably gets up at night to pee too, right?!” At this point I was fighting back tears as the tone of the conversations as well as the judgements of both Jodi and Marion were that disturbing and I was in disbelief by what I was hearing. I found myself politely thanking Marion for her time (because my mother raised me right). Let me remind you that this visit was simply supposed to be a quick meet and greet for mom!

My father has been at The Promenade at Tuxedo since December & seeing him so happy & thriving there has made this decision so much easier! From our first visit with Sadie to present all staff members have gone out of their way to embrace each resident as a family member. Their support, encouragement, caring & friendliness are consistently demonstrated at all levels of personnel. We particularly liked the "homey" feeling that a smaller facility provides & couldn't be happier with our choice! Thanks to all there for always making the effort!!!
