It’s extremely clean, the rooms are spacious and the staff is friendly and professional! The food looks very healthy and tasty. They also have a ton of activities! I highly recommend this place.

I am currently navigating the very difficult process of finding the right assisted living for my parents, and I had the absolute pleasure of touring Chestnut Ridge with Deanna. She is truly a gem. She spent hours with me, walking through every aspect of the process with patience, honesty, and genuine care. Not only did she answer all of my questions thoroughly, but she also offered thoughtful insight and guidance as my family continues to explore options. It was immediately clear that she loves what she does. She greeted residents and staff by name, and spoke with such pride about the community. She even shared that her young son feels like he has “so many grandparents” there and loves attending the events with residents—something that really speaks to the warmth of the environment. What stood out most is that she never came across as a salesperson. She felt like someone who truly believes in and is passionate about the place she represents. Her dedication was undeniable—she stayed with me well beyond the end of her workday to make sure I felt informed and supported. I also had the opportunity to speak with a nurse, who was equally kind, patient, and generous with her time. Overall, the atmosphere felt warm, caring, and genuinely compassionate. I don’t know what the future holds for my parents, but I can honestly say I would feel at peace knowing they were in Deanna’s care, in such a loving environment.

This is my mother’s second time as a resident at the Promenade At Chestnut Ridge. She was welcomed back with open arms, smiles from friends, and loving care! I would like to extend my appreciation to Deanna, Gail and Lauren for going out of their way to make sure my Mom would receive the care and support she needs at this time. They have been very flexible given we had some medical emergencies leading up to her return.<br><br>Mary Kate and Lauren are both kind and caring in Nursing and been so helpful in getting my mom’s medical needs met.<br><br>The aids that have cared for my mom have been very friendly and are quick to come in when the emergency cord is used to call them. Of course there will be times when somebody might need to wait a few extra minutes, but they do their best to help as soon as possible.<br><br>The kitchen prepares foods that are not only healthy but appetizing for the residents. There are substitute options available.<br><br>The games and social activities are meant to get everybody involved as they choose. The Promenade provides a cheerful and clean environment. Big screen TVs in common areas. A nice outdoor patio for good weather. It has a homey, friendly and comfortable atmosphere. I recommend you visit if you’re thinking of a place to call home for a parent or a loved one.

A dear family friend is in this facility. She says the aides are terrible, and NASTY. The food there is subpar, with no breakfast meat served, lunch is bleak, with cream cheese sandwiches served, and dinner is 1 hot offering or sandwiches. Her room is kept clean (service is once a week) and has a microwave and small fridge so she can supplement the meager meal offerings. I'll be headed down to check it out for myself in the near future.

Had a Great time at Grandparent’s day! Staff is amazing. Deanna is the perfect point of contact, she always gets back to you in a timely fashion and is so pleasant to talk to.
