We had a great experience at Primrose retirement community of Pueblo! The suite we had was more than I expected and was very clean. Next time we visit, I will remember to bring soap for the shower! I would like to thank everyone at Primrose for being pleasant, helpful and kind. We will definitely be back to visit with my dad in the next few months! Thanks again!

This review is important to anyone with hypersensitivity issues. This is a wonderful, caring place to take your loved ones.

Lengthy read. Apologies. :)

My Aunt moved into Primrose Retirement in March of 2023. The move was not planned (family drama) so both of us were traumatized and in a state of shock.

Matt Valdez is the Sales Director. He is PERFECT for that position. He listened to our woes as to why we were there and then showed us around. My aunt was given a choice of rooms. She was not talked down to at all by ANY of the staff that we were introduced to. This to me is very important because the way someone talks to you is the way they will treat you. Matt’s loves his job and he does it so well because HE CARES. This facility employs people that care.

Because I am hypersensitive, I can identify body language, tone of voice, minute things that neuro-typical people don’t notice. I was not triggered by any negativity at all. It was awesome.

Bre Collins, is the Business Manager. She was my daughter’s YMCA counselor so I already knew the stellar caliber of her character. She is amazing and efficient. She’s always there to answer ANY questions even if they are out of her purview she will get you an answer.

Elizebeth Benavidez is the Dining Services Director. Her work ethic is awesome and she makes a delicious menu. She’s positive, outgoing and vibrant. Once a month she holds a meeting with the residents so they can make suggestions for her menu. SHE INCLUDES THEM. Again. Caring behavior that comes naturally.

Joanna Reeg is the Executive Director and is way busy. BUT, she finds the time to talk to the residents in the dining hall, I’ve seen her at events, or talking to residents at the pub upstairs. She interacts with the residents with genuine intentions.

Maria has been my aunts housekeeper for three years. She is efficient, friendly, and kind. She is unobtrusive when she works and always touches base with my aunt to make sure that she’s doing what my aunt wants. For the employees that go into a residence’s apartment, it is imperative that they are approachable and agreeable. Beyond that my aunt trusts Maria. SO IMPORTANT.

Tyrell Werling is the Property Maintenance Technician and Lucas works under him. Talk about a hard job! They have to be the busiest of them all! They do everything it seems like from fixing screens to plumbing to building a cat box. They go out of their way to get things done. In a retirement home EVERYONE needs something at some time. These two men are up to the challenge. Thank you guys so much.

Please remember that this is a 3 year review and the behaviors remained consistent because THEY CARE.

My aunt has gone from seriously depressed to living with joy. Primrose has helped her along this journey. She’s grown to love this place. It’s HOME to her. A place of compassion and comfort.

All of these people are enriching my aunts life everyday and I am so very grateful for all of them. She’s built relationships here and is happy.

Like I said, lengthy but necessary. How do you write a short review on something that is so important? One can’t. Primrose Retirement is the ONLY place in Pueblo to take your loved one.
