My Grandmother is currently there and I cannot wait for her to leave. I am very familiar with nursing homes, this one constantly smells horrible like urine. Her bed had been made a few times leaving filthy sheets under them. If you complain staff becomes hostile and states they are short staffed. A nurse today yelled at me because I was telling my Gram we needed to open her window because of the smell, stating her staff is competent….whatever that means. If you can put you loved one at St. Camillus I suggest doing so. It’s much better!

The facility takes good care of my sister. She always is clean . The room is clean without smell of urine. My sister is so much calmer and walks better now then when she was in Highland nursing home in Jamaica NY. Give them chance they make you feel like family and I like to have my sister here. I looked at the reviews and I was skeptical but I do like the place. I would recommend it.

I want to share this with everyone. my wife had to go into a nursing home for her rehabilitation. the only bed available was Pontiac in Oswego... we read the reviews and were very nervous about sending her there. But to our great surprise her treatment was top notch... what a loving and caring staff day and evenings. her true therapist were amazing listen to her problems and worked with her intensively. She was able to thrive and rehabilitate, and is being released tomorrow. a major shout out to her therapist John and Maggie and all the nursing staff on the first floor for the loving care that they gave to her. we give Pontiac a five-star rating.

My Uncle is currently here for rehabilitation. From the first day his care started in this establishment 3/21/2019 we have had nothing but problems. First they come on questioning him (who clearly has brain damage from dying and being brought back) about his medical history up to and including what he takes for medications. He arrived at the facility at approximately 4 p.m, he hit his call bell at 5:20 p.m as he needed assistance and over an hour later 6:30p.m they still hadn't been in. I took it upon myself to call this establishment and see what the hold up was and got transferred to a supervisor. Who told me he just arrived at 5 o'clock. I expressed that I had been on the phone with him since 4:45 p.m and he has been there for almost an hour prior to that and that the quality of care they are providing is a danger to him and others. I was told "I don't have to listen to you scream at me" and was hung up on. Now by no means was I screaming, aggravated and concerned yes, but not screaming. Nonetheless she went and answered his call bell. Yesterday morning 3/26/19 they told him they couldn't locate any pillows for his wheel chair so that he could eat his breakfast in the community room with other patients, maybe that's because they took them from his room the night before and never returned them. Again today, he has pressed his call bell to use the restroom and over an hour later, still nobody coming. This place is not recommended whatsoever! Steer clear of this facility! Adding to my review. (4/23/19) Complete and total negligent care. Our Uncle has been "shunned" by first shift, up to and including the continuance of ignoring of call bells, refusing oxygen and respiratory care for 3 hours. He was just sent back to a hospital with a disgusting fungal infection that this facility could smell but neglected to provide care for.
