My partner and I went to go visit his father this week, he had fallen in his room and no one attempted to help him, offered him no pain medication or ice or any assistance whatsoever. His wrist is incredibly swollen and he was completely ignored. Front desk staff is rude, constantly on their phones. As we were leaving, the owner of the building was aggressively screaming explicatives at the residents outside for smoking. We’re going to be looking for a new assisted living facility.

My mother has been at Morningstar for 1 week. I am very pleased with her care thus far. Everyone has been thoughtful and kind. Moving into a new place is hard on loved ones but staff went out of their way to meet our needs and answer our questions.

OK, so in small town America Nursing Homes are understaffed and struggling badly. The nurses and aids work extremely longs hours. So this is not a "fancy" place HOWEVER what separates Morningstar from the other options in Oswego is THE STAFF ! They CARE! My Mother just passed away after 5 months at Morningstar and I am so grateful to Cece, Sam, Destiny, Laura, Randi, others who's faces I will always remember. Hugs and warmth I will always remember. They were so great. So attentive to her needs and so tender with us during her final days. The staff are doing the hardest job and they really excel. Forever grateful to Morningstar!

I am not only appalled, but heartbroken at the care my loved one received. Family members visited him almost daily and the way they were treated to try and get my Uncle’s needs met were abhorrent. The pictures that were shared with me of my uncle were jaw dropping. I am uncertain if it is incompetence or the lack of compassion for a fellow human being, but the fact that my uncle is now hospitalized is truly a testament to the way residents are treated in this facility.

My mother was a resident at Morningstar for 6 years . She received the best care . I couldn’t ask for a better staff and facility. I was able to be with her all the time and really got to know the administration, the aides, the nurses and all the staff involved in her care . We went through a lot together with my mom . As anyone knows who has to make this decision to place a loved one in a nursing home it is the hardest decision you will have to make. These people that cared for her took her in as their own mom . Under ownership of Joe and the administration of Andrea and many many staff members ,nurses , aides, doctors, social workers, pt staff ,activity staff and all of the staff members who walked right by my side through it all and you all know who you are ..too many to mention in this review . I am forever grateful for all of you ❤️ My mom Josephine is now healed and in heaven and I thank you all for the kind hearted and caring ways you all took care of her and our family throughout the years she lived there.
