Extremely disappointing and unsafe experience.<br>We repeatedly communicated our concerns and tried to give the facility opportunities to improve. Unfortunately, we did not see the level of care, attention, or accountability that we expected.<br>I would not recommend Pheasant View based on our family's experience. When you place your loved one in assisted living or memory care, you are trusting the facility with their safety, medications, hygiene, dignity, and basic needs. Families deserve to feel confident that their loved ones are being cared for when they aren't there.<br>I truly hope this review encourages families to ask questions, visit unexpectedly, pay close attention to staffing levels, and advocate strongly for their loved ones. Our experience left us feeling that Pheasant View was not a safe or appropriate environment for my mother.<br>It was almost impossible to find Stephanie-Administrator anywhere in the facility. From our experience, management felt very absent and disconnected from what was actually happening in the building.<br>After we moved my mom out and posted our review, Stephanie- the administrator, reached out to us. We chose not to return her call because we felt our concerns had already been communicated almost daily to staff and Issac while my mom was there. After we didn’t respond, she had staff members contact us to ask what was so bad and why we didn’t want to keep my mom there. We felt this was very unprofessional. We wish these concerns had been taken seriously while my mom was still a resident, rather than after she was already moved out and only because a honest but negative review was posted.<br>It is very unfortunate that it took losing a resident for our concerns to seem like a big enough issue to be addressed. We had been communicating with staff and Isaac about the things my mom was going without and the problems we were seeing. These issues should have been addressed much sooner.<br>Another extremely concerning incident was my mom’s handicap placard being taken directly out of her purse while it was in her room. I find it incredibly disturbing that someone would go through a resident’s belongings and steal something as important as her handicap parking pass. Thankfully, she did not have cash in her purse. While I cannot say who took it, the fact that it happened at all and staff didn’t seem phased it is extremely concerning and makes us question how secure residents’ personal belongings are.<br>I believe Pheasant View needs stronger oversight, more consistent management presence, and better training and supervision of staff. Management needs to actually be present in the building and aware of what is happening so employees understand which concerns need to be taken seriously and addressed immediately. I also believe the facility should take resident safety and staff screening very seriously, including appropriate background checks and thorough hiring practices.<br>We wanted my mom to be somewhere where she felt safe, cared for, and respected. Unfortunately, our experience at Pheasant View did not give us that peace of mind. If you want your loved one to actually be taken care of, happy, safe and respected then we would highly suggest you take them to whisper cove. It’s whisper cove will actually do their job and care for your loved one.

If I could give this place a 0 star I would!!<br>Extremely disappointing and unsafe experience<br>My mother stayed at Pheasant View for about a month and a half, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely concerning. I would strongly encourage families to do their research and closely monitor their loved ones if they choose this facility.<br>We were told my mother would receive three showers a week, but throughout the entire time she was there, she only received three showers total. My sibling and I repeatedly had to come shower her ourselves, or she was left to shower on her own despite being a fall risk.<br>There were also repeated issues with her medications. We were told medications would be managed by the facility, yet medications were allowed to run out before new ones were ordered. We had to repeatedly remind staff about her medication, cleaning her room, laundry, showers, activities, meals, and helping her get to the dining room. Despite these repeated reminders, many of these basic needs were still not consistently addressed.<br>My mother was placed in memory care, where there was reportedly one CNA caring for approximately 20 memory-care residents. Many of these residents require significant assistance with walking, daily activities, meals, and basic needs. In my opinion, that is simply not enough staffing to safely care for residents with those levels of needs.<br>We also witnessed and heard about serious medication-related concerns. There were incidents involving medication being given incorrectly, including medication being given to residents who were not prescribed it. We were also told about serious medication errors that required EMS involvement. These are incredibly concerning situations when you are trusting a facility with the health and safety of your loved one.<br>Another major concern was the lack of professionalism we witnessed from staff. On multiple occasions when family members visited, staff were sitting on couches and on their phones rather than actively assisting residents. We also witnessed staff arguing with one another. Meanwhile, residents were sometimes left needing assistance.<br>My mother's toenails became extremely long. Before she moved in, we were told that a podiatrist would come in to take care of them, but that never happened despite us following up about it.<br>What was especially heartbreaking was seeing my mother, who can barely walk on her own and has significant memory problems, trying to help other residents because they were confused, lost, or unable to get back to their rooms. She should have been receiving care and supervision herself—not feeling responsible for helping other residents.<br>There were also situations where residents would fall or need assistance and it seemed to take far too long for someone to respond.<br>We repeatedly communicated our concerns and tried to give the facility opportunities to improve. Unfortunately, we did not see the level of care, attention, or accountability that we expected.<br>I would not recommend Pheasant View based on our family's experience.
