One week ago Friday my circle air-conditioning in my apartment quit. I put in a work order and work began that day with a jury rigged air-conditioning in my bedroom and a worker on the roof and in my apartment late Friday figuring out what part to replace. The new part arrives and within a day, my air-conditioning is back.

In the past year April 2023 the change in administration and new Director of Nursing has improved the staffing and the resident care both in Assisting Living and Skilled Nursing. I will continue to support the hard working staff and the Penick Village administration with C Cromartie and his team doing a great job making everyone feeling like family.

This place is a complete joke especially the nursing department. I feel bad for the people who love ones are in the skill or assisted living buildings. The management staff does not care for any of the residents especially the DIRECTOR OF NURSING who doesn’t even care enough to engage or talk with her staff. They are always short staff which means your loved one is not being cared for properly. I have proof of unsafe conditions not only for the residents but also the employees. I know for a fact many of the residents have suffered so much until they basically just pass away. They claim to raise the residents rates due to employees raises which was a complete lie. They always in Covid-19 outbreak status cause they do not follow the CDC guidelines or even their own policies to safe guard the residents. State needs to investigate the assisted living in the North Building as well as the Garden Cottage cause they will definitely find a lot. The pictures explains the unsafe conditions that the residents and employees had to go through for several days. This was very unsafe especially for the residents. All these blowers of fans were so loud and caused a commotion which was not good for a dementia person. They do anything they can to cover up a lot just so the public will not be aware of what’s happening.

Worst place in the world. The dining manager is an atheist. She’s mean abs a horrible person. The directors and senior staff are clueless. I will never let anyone I know live there. The food from the village house to the assisted living is very bad. All they care about is the village House. The residents in assisted living are treated horrible. It’s a horrible place !!!

A wonderful place with an excellent staff and accommodations. My dad, who will soon be 95, has been there almost 7 years. He had roots as deep as you could get them in Ohio before moving here after he lost mom and most of his close friends. I cannot say enough great things about Penick Village.
