If you have a loved one with any type of memory issues, do NOT move them into Patriots Landing in DuPont, WA. They say they provide memory care services. My aunt lived there for 4 years. When she began to show some of the aggressive side of dementia, they provided a 2 step care plan. 1. Sit down and talk to her about how it is not OK to attempt to kick the staff. At that time, my aunt's short term memory was 2 minutes. "Talking" was no solution at all. Step 2 of the plan: "If it happens again, we will call the police." Neither of these steps should EVER be part of a care plan for someone diagnosed with any form of dementia. Put your loved one somewhere that knows how to deal with ALL stages of dementia.

My parents have lived here for a few years now, and they have been incredibly happy with living there because of its facilities, amenities, food and activities. I should also say that I do historical presentations there once a month, and residents enjoy them. It is never too late to learn something new.

I am very happy with the care, attention, and support both my parents, and myself, have received over the past 6 years. Great staff! It is my father’s home, and he is very happy and comfortable there. Good food, amenities, and activities. When the time comes, I would also consider living there.

I'm Army veteran and the appreciation they show to service is palpable when you go through the door. I never got my Grandfather in but was able to participate in some community events and would move love to move in myself if I was retired. Even though we never moved my grandfather in they were always a great welcoming resource to us.
