My mother needed a good place to go that would care for her and keep her safe while she got post-surgical therapy. The team at Parkwood Village was amazingly understanding of our situation and helped craft a plan for Mom that's worked very well. Jaime, Sara, and the whole team have been kind and understanding--and the PR and OT have been great.

I've eaten there several times with Mom and the food and staff are quite good. The other residents are welcoming. Most of all, it's clean and doesn't smell like an institution.

Is it perfect? Of course not....first, it's expensive--that's just a fact. Second, there have been a few glitches along the way in terms of some schedule issues. But the staff has worked with us to smooth the rough edges, which to my mind is a demonstration of high quality.

Despite her misgivings about being in "a place like that", we are now actively working on a plan for her to transition on a more permanent basis to the independent living care setting--and Mom's now excited for this next step.

We are very thankful for the entire team in the process.
