About Park Place Assisted Living

Park Place Assisted Living is an assisted living and independent living community in Reno, Nevada. The facility operates as a residential campus with multiple homes designed to serve older adults, including those with memory care needs.

Family experiences at Park Place are notably mixed, reflecting significant operational shifts over time. During stable periods, families describe warm, family-oriented care with active engagement, one family highlighted "trick or treating through all the houses" at community events, and consistent praise for attentive staff, cleanliness, and a homey atmosphere. However, multiple families note that conditions deteriorated during and after COVID-19, citing understaffing, reduced meal quality (including prepackaged lunches), misplaced belongings, and concerns about staff hiring practices. A few recent reviews suggest improvement under new management, with families reporting caring staff and residents feeling "loved and safe." Food quality remains disputed; while some families found meals wonderful, others described inedible offerings.

The facility carries a 4 out of 5 Google rating across 29 reviews, with strong five-star ratings offset by several one-star accounts describing management tensions and quality-of-care lapses. Families considering Park Place may want to inquire about current staffing levels and recent changes in leadership or operations, as the community appears to be in transition.

Everyone is wonderful, and they have made my mom feel comfortable, and welcome in her new space. She is happy and enjoys everyone she interacts with every day.

I will say it has taken quite a toll to write this. The past couple of times I have been there to try to take a tour. I have witnessed management speak down upon their workers for those who can rarely respect their workers. It would hard to believe they can respect any resident. I have watched women come out with tears and men walk out with discouraged faces. I’ve even overheard a blonde young woman. Tell those she can speak to whomever the way she would like because of her position it is quite sad to have such a beautiful place yet such disgusting behavior for management I heard once this was an amazing place. Shame on those who work in management and who cannot respect those who work underneath them.<br>Taking a step back this is a beautiful place. I will say, but I would highly recommend an overview look just because they have a warm hand to shake, and a smile doesn’t mean they are the best. I hope this will change soon considering the mini residence who already reside.

My Mom loves living at Park Place. It makes her happy. She has a group of friends there. If I ever have a problem, the Administration handles it quickly.
