Oxford Glen Carrollton

Oxford Glen Memory Care at Carrollton is a specialized memory care community focused on Alzheimer's and dementia care. The community is designed around individualized profiles for each resident, built from conversations with families about life stories, favorite foods, meaningful music, and recorded family messages, which then guide daily care and interactions.

The community features five secure memory care houses, each containing 12 bedroom suites that open onto a shared great room, full kitchen, dining area, and an enclosed courtyard with raised gardening beds and outdoor seating. The open layout of each house is designed to give staff clear visibility of residents throughout the space. Each bedroom suite has a memory box outside the door to help personalize the entry and offer gentle orientation cues for residents.

Oxford Glen offers both secure memory care and transitional care for residents in the early stages of dementia. Each house has its own separate entrance and doorbell, allowing families to visit as they would when visiting a loved one's home. Secure entrances and monitored outdoor spaces allow residents to spend time outside safely, supported by 24/7 staff supervision.

Programming at the community is adapted to each resident's abilities, interests, and personal history rather than following a one-size-fits-all schedule. Activities include intergenerational programs that connect residents with young visitors, along with other engagement opportunities intended to create moments of connection and purpose. Pet therapy and family support groups are also part of the community's offerings.

Families are encouraged to remain involved through visits and participation in group activities. Staff receive ongoing training in dementia care practices. The community is located at the corner of Keller Springs and Marsh Lane near the Carrollton water tower, and it serves families throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including Carrollton, Addison, Farmers Branch, The Colony, Lewisville, Allen, McKinney, Richardson, and Grapevine.
