May 2026
My wife has been at this Our House facility in Eau Claire since June of 2024 and as her POA I visit with her almost everyday. Admittedly, over time there have been good days, and some not so good days in my overall care evaluation and satisfaction that the staff was providing for my wife's daily care. *HOWEVER, back in mid January of this year (2026) after an Upper Management Onsite review, which ultimately led to a new site director leadership change. A lot has now CHANGED, and has brought about a breath of fresh air into this facility, and the level of care that is being provided. As a visiting POA I can see it in the staff, in their daily teaming efforts, and in their compassion towards all of the residents under their care. The new Director (Makenna) is very dedicated and has truly brought about a Caring and Loving Atmosphere for all. The Staff has her respect, and this is very evident, and has been on display each and everyday that I have been there as a POA visiting my wife.
So, this coming June (2026) it will be 2 years that my wife will have been here. *And, I would definitely recommend this location, it is a smaller facility. which I like a lot, and with my wife's wandering tendencies, it is a safe, loving and familiar space/place for her to live!! *We all have high expectations for our loved ones, and I know that the Management and Staff at this location are fully aware of those ever changing expectations, and are dedicated to achieving those goals and needs as we express them over time.

Mike Hofkes - POA
