Over 55 community. Big. Great annual white elephant sale. Good values for being this close to the ocean. Have friends who have lived here and liked it but wanted to own their own land. Loads of retired seniors.

This is the best Manufactured Home Development in all of Murrells Inlet area. Super friendly people. Well maintained. Quiet, affordable, plenty of room. The properties (lots) are well spread out, homes are oriented parallel to streets, not lined up side by side. Most places would squeeze 3 homes in the average lot, here! Two club houses. Two pools. Plenty of activities. By the way, this is a Senior Living community.

My husband and I moved into Ocean Pines a Sun community property in Murrells Inlet this past January. We absolutely love it here. Property is very well maintained. The many residents we have met all are very nice and welcoming. There are so many planned activities that you can stay busy every day of the week if that’s what you would like to do. I’m so glad this is where we chose to retire. The entire staff from maintenance to the office have all been great.

Ocean Pines is a great place to live. The roads could use a little improvement. But my main issue is the management is political and stuffs it down your throat. Stoping by the office is useless. It’s common knowledge to a lot of the residents here if management likes you then you can do whatever you want.Have to say my neighbors are right the political flags are still flying but you have no problem inspecting our homes and telling the people you don’t like what they must do.

Ocean pines is a great place to live, not as good as it used to be but still great. As of a couple of years ago we are under new ownership / management. Many of the covenants that initially appealed to us when we moved here are no longer being enforced. Many homeowners are now allowed to let their yards go and you see junk stored outside. Our ponds and streets need work. Drainage after rains is getting worse, worse still from the hundreds of trees removed since new ownership. I see trash cans left out on the streets for weeks, cars parked on lawns. It isn't a quiet community. Still, if you can live as we do, there is a lively social calendar and our location is ideal. The beach and Garden City pier, shopping, medical, restaurants and the Marshwalk only ten minutes away.
