I moved here when I turned 80 so my kids wouldn't have to take care of me. They and I think it's one of the best decisions I ever made!!

The amount of money the seniors are charged is ridiculous! The restaurants serve Low quality food that taste terrible, sometimes it takes forever to be served. Some apartments are infested with mice! There was an elevator that was down for almost a year!! Then taken out of service again only to install a new floor. The doors in the common areas need weather stripping and door sweeps. Management/ maintenance is laxed. The Management really needs to do better!

This place is horrible. Someone there stole both of my grandmother’s expensive diamond rings. I’m disgusted. Update: the rings were found/returned. I haven’t really been given a solid truth yet. So I’ll go from 1star to 3 for now…. I’m dropping it back down to a 1 because as of today Justin the director has manipulated my grandmother who has dementia into banning me from calling or visiting her!!! He thinks it’s logical that after over four decades of existence while in a more progressive state of dementia to get her to agree to prevent me from seeing her. He believes it’s logical for a 98 year old diagnosed with dementia who has two people with power of attorney over her is within her mental facilities to agree to that. Form many decades I’ve gotten along with my grandmother just fine. I was her favorite so what are these people doing and thinking over here?!! It’s absolutely sick and inhumane when you don’t know how much time a person has left. I demand for this place to correct the matter immediately.

Oak Crest has provided a new lease on life for many of the residents, including me! I am much more active and have made many new friendships since moving to Oak Crest. There are not enough hours in the day to do everything I'd like to do here at OCV. I am so grateful I moved in while young enough (68) to enjoy the activities. My grown children have said my move to Oak Crest is one of the best gifts I have given them. They no longer have to worry about my safety, and can actually sit and visit with me now that I no longer need help with home maintenance! Do yourself a favor --if you are 60 or older, you should check out OCV.

My daughter had her wedding in the Garden Room and the reception in Erickson Hall - January 2023. Lauren, Corrine and the team did a fabulous job! The day went so smoothly and we didn’t have to worry about anything! The girls had a whole room to “get ready” in and the guys had “another room.” The wedding was beautiful and the reception was fun with good, hot food (or so they tell me- since I’m whole food plant based I usually bring my own food.) They do make accommodations for GF folks. We couldn’t have asked for a better day with no worries! And it didn’t break the bank!
