Worst nursing home ever! They are so rude, they treat their neighbors like garbage and hang up on you if you have a question. Makes you wonder how they treat their residents! The police make regular visits. You can smell the bad odor outside the building.

To be avoided.In March of 2025. My Mother age (97) was there for Rehab from a previous fall. While at Northville Manor She fell out of the bed the aide called and said that it wasn’t bad . However . She was waiting to hear back from the Doctor. The Doctor told her to call 911 to get my Mom checked out. Mom had a large bump and bruise on her head a brain bleed that needed surgery. In my opinion. I would not leave a loved one there. The overall care that she received less than (1). Including the food. My Mom is now at another facility and has not been the same since the brain bleed.

Staff changes regularly. My mom has been there almost a year and there have been 3 different facilities directors. They have a new activities lady who brings residents outside and has fun crafts and games for them. If they are not resistant to come. Hygiene is hit or miss. Showers are given regularly, but often I come and find my mom in a wet diaper. 3 times I have asked them to put a bib on her during meals and they never do which leads to stained fronts of shirts. Also I’ve asked 3 times when checking in around 7pm that they take out my mom’s denture and brush her teeth before bed, but they never do. If I left them know I’m picking her up in advance, they will have her clean and ready. I like the head nurse which hasn’t changed. The facility is small and all the staff know all the patients. There’s a nice gazebo and fountain in the back. It is nestled into a neighborhood and the local kids trick or treat there. You should be with your loved one if to want them to experience it. Parking is really tight. My mom was able to transfer herself to/from wheelchair last year but is not allowed to and has lost strength in her legs so she can’t transfer without help. I toured many facilities. This facility is pretty average. Not the worst, not the best. Not much choice when you are on Medicaid.

If I could give zero starts I would. It was poor before the ownership changed. Now it is abysmal. If your loved one is aware of their surroundings, you might get better care. Please, chose any place but here. The other woman who posted about neglect was spot on. Now I have to learn how to contact the state to inform them of the neglect. The last two times I visited my mom, the hadn't dressed her in pants. Then they claimed they had a laundry problem. There are too many problems to list. So again, I beg of you, find a different location for the person you love.

My mom has been there for 2 months now and the staff has gone out of their way to make her comfortable and happy. They are all polite, kind and have genuine care...even coming in afterhours to help my mom with her transition into nursing home life. The facility is always clean when I am there - and I got at least 2x a week every week. There is never any odors. That said, it is an old facility, but I'd rather have a caring staff that offers a lot of personal attention, activities, animal visits et cetera than a fancy big fireplace and marble floors. I feel good that my mom is safe and getting the care she needs and the staff has always been responsive to any of my concerns.
