We moved my mother in law here 2.5 months ago. The whole experience, from initial tours to finishing the application to moving in and getting settled, was first rate. There were very helpful and professional people making sure we, and she, had everything we needed. There are ample staff members of all kinds. The food is good. She gained 10 pounds right away. The private room and bath are spacious and wonderful. My mother in law thinks she is at a Spa. Postscript: She stayed at MVC for 14 months, until her death. My opinion has not changed. She was happy and well cared for. The senior staff were extremely responsive and communicated well. There were a couple times when we would visit and something was a bit amiss. These issues were handled promptly. Never any hint of bad treatment or neglect. On the contrary, she was treated with loving care.

My mom has been here for a year now & was very reluctant to go but loves her room and staff is absolutely amazing and kind. very clean always. they always let residents change anything on their food menu giving a days notice before hand. games and activities such as bingo and crafts. My grandmother is also there at the same time and came from Connecticut and out of all of New England chose to live here as well. I cant be more grateful for taking such wonderful care of my loved ones.

My dad was a resident for a little over a year. The staff was awesome. He had dementia and they knew his to care for him. I was amazed at the way the staff responds to all the residents. Love to all the staff on Whittier

Outstanding! Mom moved in 5 months ago - Having never had to deal with a move like this I did my homework first - The facility is modern, exceptionally clean, high ceilings, bright and inviting - Each resident has their own room with private bath - I was able to decorate and embellish - I added a crystal cabinet in an alcove for her - Her room is very much a home now - I also added a community indoor garden for the residents to participate in - The staff I have experienced has been excellent, my mother loves the care she is receiving - They keep her engaged socially, and have tailored her meals at times when she has a problem with whatever is served - She even gets a luxurious whirlpool bubble bath once a week and they scrub her back, she is in heaven - Like any facility of this sort, you cannot drop off your loved ones and forget about them, you need to keep a strong presence, make your voices heard, as your loved ones cannot always do that effectively - This facility is First Class, all the way
