I think prior reviews for Whole Hearted are from when they were owned by its founders. It is now under new ownership. I had to put my mom in assisted living after this company dropped the ball on more occasions than I can count. They were ultimately incapable of providing adequate care. We gave them six months(!) of repeated opportunity to right wrongs. Instead, I ended up having to personally train several of their staff who were inadequately vetted or experienced. Caregivers were sent to my house with no training, had been hired after a single phone interview and who had never met any other staff or their managers in person! Several consecutive weeks with uncovered shifts especially Friday’s and weekends, left family in the lurch. Contracted for meal prep and other daily living activities and the “caregivers” didn’t know how to cook. Literally. Had never cooked a meal before. I had to teach care givers basic skills: how to make tuna fish, how to reheat food, how to iron a shirt, how to store food properly, etc. My mom is immunocompromised and on cancer treatment and despite clear communication to Whole Hearted that caregivers wear PPE and not work a shift if ill, caregivers were threatened by their management with patient abandonment if they called in sick. Caregivers showed up with active COVID and FLU illnesses. Several even tried to hide their coughing and blamed allergies (in the winter in my very clean home!). My mom got pneumonia because of one very sick caregiver who I didn’t send away fast enough, and my mom ended up needing hospital care. This is only a small set of examples of how poorly this company is managed. Given my experience, I could not in good conscience continue to do business with or recommend this company.
