I came to Morning Pointe 2 years ago from an older facility . I have found Morning Pointe a breath of fresh air in a world people live out their lives . It is truly a wonderful place . There is no one on the staff or the residents that i do not like .

I’ve been incredibly impressed with the improvements made by the new management team. The Executive Director is professional, approachable, and genuinely supportive, and the staff are equally kind and helpful. The positive changes are noticeable. It’s clear they’re committed to creating a positive and comfortable environment, and it shows.

Our family had a deeply disappointing and distressing experience with The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Franklin. Given the medication-management concerns and what felt like a constructive discharge, I would give zero stars if I could.

My father has dementia, and we trusted this facility to safely manage his memory care, medications, communication, and care planning. Unfortunately, our experience raised serious concerns in all of those areas.

His intake paperwork documented that he should not receive a specific medication because it causes increased agitation. We later learned that he was given the generic version of that medication for approximately five weeks while at Morning Pointe. We trusted the facility, pharmacy, and care team to recognize and manage this safely.

During that time, my father’s behaviors escalated, and he was ultimately transferred to Vanderbilt geriatric psychiatry for medication stabilization. Our family was not timely informed of behavioral concerns leading up to this sudden transfer, despite being actively involved and regularly visiting. We were left trying to understand what happened after the fact, rather than being included in care planning or medication review before the situation reached a crisis.

After Vanderbilt stabilized his medications and indicated he was ready to return to memory care, Morning Pointe required a 24/7 private-duty sitter at $32–$35 per hour with no clear criteria, timeline, review process, or end point. In our view, this made his return practically impossible.

Thankfully, my father is now in another memory care facility that appears to be a much better fit. We have submitted our concerns to the appropriate state channels for review because we do not want another resident or family to go through what we experienced.

Based on our family’s experience, I would not recommend this facility for a loved one with dementia who needs careful medication management, proactive communication, and a clear care plan.

My mom is currently a resident at Morning Pointe of Franklin, and our experience has been such a blessing for our family.

Ashley, the Director of Nursing, is truly an absolute ray of sunshine. She is incredibly communicative, detail-oriented, and always takes the time to make sure our questions are answered. Her warmth and professionalism give us so much peace of mind.

The nursing staff is consistently friendly and kind, and my mom genuinely enjoys interacting with them each day. It makes all the difference knowing she feels happy and cared for.

Kelsey, the Activities Director, brings such a bubbly personality and a true heart for the residents. There are always plenty of activities to choose from, and my mom stays active and involved. The monthly family events are also such a thoughtful touch — we’ve really enjoyed attending those together.

Judy, the Community Relations Director, made our initial tour and the transition into moving my mom in completely seamless. During what can be an emotional and overwhelming time, she made everything feel organized, supportive, and smooth.

We are so grateful for the care, compassion, and joy the team brings each day. It means the world to our family to know my mom is in such good hands.
