This is an outstanding facility for that. The state of Minnesota has raised the bar and provided a really good place. It provides vets all their needs

My father is in Building 22, when he first moved in the staff was great and even through COVID I felt was helpful even though communication was lacking sometimes. But after COVID things have seriously deteriorated, most of the staff are African and you can't even talk to them because they don't understand anything. Secondly most of the time you just find them sit around on their phone. My father has Parkinson's and the tremors are very bad so he can't hold on to anything. During COVID they would help hold the device for him, now you can't get them to possibly help. If you put your loved one here make sure to visit often because they send the clothes out to the county jail to be washed and sometimes the clothes go missing. As in any care facility there are good and bad, no place is perfect but this Vets home has really gone down hill.

My father moved in the beginning of this year and it has been wonderful. He seems content and all the staff, aids, nurses and volunteers are very professional and always seem happy to care for the veterans.
