This is August 12, 2025. My husband has been at Mitchell Manor for three years and we are now moving to Shawnee. No one has been kinder and more attended to him than the people at Mitchell Manor .even the administrator came out to wish us goodbye. Everyone helped us pack up . All the have staff Have been coming down and showing their respect and love for my husband. They’ve been amazing in every aspect. He says their food is the very best. The people are so kind and so attentive to every need. I would highly recommend Mitchell Manor . I truly believe that’s one of the best Long-term care facilities-in McAllister. The Director of nurses is amazing. She is so intelligent and so helpful in every aspect of our move. I don’t know what I would’ve done without her help . She had a Fast understanding of different V.A Contracted facilities in Oklahoma facilities in the Area And helped me make the Best decision for our move. Thank you again Mitchell Manor and all your wonderful employees for a great stay

Their services, food and lack of communication are not worth what they charge. They want to empty people’s bank accounts and get the State to pay. Their personal items end up missing and nobody will accept responsibility and do not want to make the out of pocket cost right. Some workers dislike working there but feel obligated to stay so they the person is cared for. If they do not eat they take their plate and not return with anything until the next meal Several times walked out the side door and smell a strong odor of pot. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!!

I hate to say this but the office staff is worthless. I had a family friend admitted for a short stay. They had him sign papers and said his room number is 124. Didn't show us to the room or around. I said he has an apt Tomorrow. They said they didn't know if they had staff to take him. We had let them know when he was approved my the VA that he had this apt. 4 days before hand. I asked what I'm I suppose to do with his meds. They said take it to the nurse. They couldn't find the orders for his meds. If it wasn't for the nice nurse and an aide there I wouldn't have even left him.

Major lack of communication. A lack of letting me know what the individual needs and it has them doing without. I am not happy. 4500 to 6k a month should get better communication and care. Communication is worse I call for hours with no answer, if they do finally pick up they transfer me and no answer so I’m told they will call back and nope. The veteran has been moved and I am receiving bills. 3 months now. Why do I get a bill for something that is 100% covered by VA? Why do I have a bill 3 months after the veteran left the facility? Great question, and if they ever answer the phone I will ask. I think next week I will let the VA legal team figure this out for me. Afterall it is their money.

This place is a joke, we had to put our dad here. The treatment he received was alful. He is on hospice an they put him at end of hall, kept his door shut. I was there 3 hrs before I used his call light. He had clogged suction machine in his mouth all night. Covered in puke, trash on floor, marks on wall from his lil puke stained hands where he tried to reach call light. After they changed his bed I pulled back sheet an it wad covered in puke. I hope someday in their time of need they get the same care they have my daddy. There is a great nurse marylin but she can't do it all. Thank god my dad is in a safe place now in his last days. Dogs at the s.p.c.a got better treatment.
