If you want your loved one to get bed sores and be treated like a dying animal; then this is the place for you. If you want to put your health in jeopardy, this is your place. If you want to get depressed on how the staff treats you here, then I’m sure this is the best match for you. Ironically I deleted my review a month ago when my grandfather entered this facility because I believe in 2nd chances (regretful decision). It’s also ironic this place is called a skilled nursing facility, it’s actually full of unskilled nurses. Staff members get pissed off if you don’t speak the language they speak, can’t advocate for yourself…. And when I say you can’t advocate, they take advantage of you and leave you to rot. That’s what happened to my grandpa, we made it abundantly CLEAR that he had limited mobility due to a stroke and nope, it was just like talking to the wall. Turns out he now has bed sores, very bad bed sores, the worst you can imagine. We made it clear he needed to get oral care when he first entered, turns out that a trip to the hospital discovered that he had not gotten oral care since god knows when. Not to mention, his call button was on the side he happened to be paralyzed on; that was a lawsuit bound to happen; now that’s taken advantage. I’m beginning to question the good reviews about this place because they sound a bit preposterous. Is it too much to ask what my grandpas necessities are? It’s not proving challenging or impossible. If that was the case we should have been denied putting him here. But nooooo, they provide the best care the team message states. So to all families, unless you want them to be set backwards and not forwards; take my word for it. I’ve seen it, witnessed it, and this only my first rodeo. I do not recommend this place for anyone at all, and best wishes to all who are not comfortable and are forced to be here. PS, You get bed sores from also being neglected and not being rotated, let’s not play the run around now. It’s common to get bed sores from places like this; however there are ways to prevent it if the staff was doing their rounds.

I have been a patient recovering from surgery residing at this facility from April 25 to June 28th. And as with any Care facility there will be moments of individual lapse of memory ( forgot to bring a coffee after serving breakfast with orange juice- CNA had 8 to serve - got the coffee eventually). When you witness and experience the compassion , kindness , empathy and respect the Nurses and CNA's extend daily it's amazing. I don't know how they do it !! There are elder folks in memory care that can be beyond the call of duty that a family wouldn't be able to care for safely ( to be honest) They're no longer the person they were, but these Professionals are able to deal with these women and men, in a respectful dignified way, to calm them and sooth their fears, sundowners etc etc ... I have witnessed the Care of Seniors that cannot speak for themselves ( at least 20 up close daily ) out of maybe 80 or 90 ? Patients are here being cared for 24/7 without major alarms and fiasco's. Cottage Hospital is 5 Star Mission View is 5 Star I'm 71 and been given a preview of the years ahead for myself if Dementia gets ahold of me. I hope Mission View Health Center is still here if and when pray the Powers that be. PS there are many reasons why patients get "sores" commonly called "bed sores", 1. Medications 2. Diaper rash 3. Fabric

Currently a patient in here at mission view the kitchen staff needs improvement bad they didn’t even give me a tray with my food and no silverware. Also they lie about a lot of stuff in here. They came around asking about Christmas gifts when I first got here. I’m leaving here today and they won’t even give me the gift with leaving 2 days before Christmas. This place needs to get their shot together better. Also do not recommend this place for anyone.
