I was in a bad motorcycle accident where I was making a left turn and the car coming from my left never saw me and was going 65 miles an hour. I sustained extensive injuries and was at Sierra Vista for about 8 days before they wanted to transfer me to a skilled nursing center. I was kicking and fighting the whole time about going, but in the end there was nothing I could do — my husband couldn't take care of me, it was just too much. Both of my knees had suffered many problems, including 3 complete ligament tears, meniscus tears, and arthritis on top of it all. I needed help until I could get my surgeries.
I did not want to come, but when I got here I was proved completely wrong. This place is the best. They made me feel right at home and took care of my every need — I wanted for nothing. The care and love they have given me, plus the effort they put into helping me get my surgeries scheduled, is unreal. I swear they are all my angels. They are very busy, but they all come in with smiles on their faces.
I once read a book by Sir Richard Branson, and he said most companies believe in treating their customers well, but he believed in treating his employees well, because if they were happy they would then take great care of his customers. I know this to be true — my son personally used to work for him, and he always treated his employees right. So I believe the employees here must be treated right too, because they are all wonderful to us.
These places often get a bad rap, but trust me on this one — they have been the only good thing that has happened to me since the accident. They won't do you wrong. So if you need to come to a place like this or have a love one cared for you will never regret your choice and in the end they will be very happy.
This facility has gone above and beyond with my father’s transitional care. He was well cared for by all the wonderful nurses, CNA”s, and physical therapist. He also loved the food! Rooms were always nice a clean. Everyone at this facility is so awesome. We are going to miss you all ❤️
Warmest regards,
Richard and daughter Cindy
I transferred to San Luis Post Acute Care Center after 12 days as an inpatient at French Hospital in San Luis Obispo.
SLPAC lives up to its 5 star rating: staff were patient, caring, skilled, and professional. No request was too small, and the patient call bell was answered promptly by someone eager to help.
Nursing staff and administrators confer regularly with physicians, and there is a plan for an individual’s stay.
Residents also interact with administrative staff: Center Director Adam Bramwell spends much of his time on the units, interacting with residents and families.
I received medication, vitals checks, and meals on a regular schedule. Weekday Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy helped me gain strength and flexibility. Now, at home, I have skills to help me continue on my road to good health.
If you have a choice of Post Acute Care facilities, please consider San Luis Post Care Center.

The administrator Adam Bramwell made us feel so good about Mom’s care at San Luis Post Acute Center. From the moment Mom arrived he welcomed and assured us she would be in good hands (which she was). I was a bit emotional about her situation and he offered me his private cell number. He said even if he was home and I had a concern, he could come check on Mom. By going the extra mile, Mr. Bramwell earned our trust and appreciation. Thank you all at San Luis Accute for the selfless work you do. The Lane and Garrigus families appreciate you more than you’ll ever know.
