I recently placed my mother here and I am glad I chose Melody. The experience has been great. My mom loves the staff, fellow residents, food, decor, and activities. Every time I visit I am greeted by very pleasant staff. In particular, Lisa, the concierge, is amazing, she is very responsive, highly detail oriented and super friendly. I highly recommend Melody for assisted living.

I do not recommend this senior living community due to ongoing and serious safety failures. For over a year, exterior doors did not lock properly, including overnight, despite repeated concerns. This occurred during a period of car break-ins and thefts in the parking lot, putting residents at clear risk.<br><br>A particularly alarming incident involved a resident who went missing. Nursing staff failed to notify the family and did not initiate proper elopement procedures for over 12 hours. The care staff was told the resident was with family, which was untrue—the resident was later found inside the facility. This represents a critical breakdown in communication, monitoring, and protocol.<br><br>There have also been excessive resident falls, raising concerns about supervision and care planning. Additionally, residents with memory-care needs were housed in assisted living rather than an appropriate secured memory-care setting, which is unsafe and unacceptable.<br><br>Rather than addressing these systemic issues, the facility culture appears to place blame on frontline staff instead of taking accountability at the administrative level. Staff who raise safety concerns or advocate for residents are met with retaliation rather than support, which discourages reporting and allows dangerous conditions to continue.<br><br>Given these issues, this facility warrants immediate review by state regulators and the long-term care ombudsman. Families deserve transparency, accountability, and most importantly safe care environments for their loved ones.

There are many assisted care facilities, but that is what they are, FACILITIES. Melody Assisted Living is a true home with a staff that actually cares for and loves the residents. My mother lived there for a couple years and was diagnosed with terminal cancer. In conjunction with the hospice care givers, her final days were pan free and she passed with her dignity and with those she loved. The nursing staff led by Monica and Robyn along with the rest of the staff took, best in class, care of my mother. I can only hope that if you have elderly family members that need some help, you will choose Melody Assisted Living as the location for your loved one. They treat their residents as family and they work with true compassion in their hearts. From the bottom of my heart, I thank them all for their unwavering care and love for my mother in her final days. Best in class and with a huge heart to match it.
