I have been a resident of Castroville for 13 years. My daughter is a nurse who has been going in to Medina Valley Health and Rehab for over 8 years. I have personally visited the facility and found it to be clean, no odors, except the delicious smell of food from the cafeteria. Kelly at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The residents were clean and looked comfortable as they played cards, listened to music, and interacted with the staff. My daughter has told me repeatedly how dedicated the staff is to the residents and how they treat the residents like family. We would both highly recommend Medina Valley Health and Rehab.

This place is the worst and if I could bring my aunt home I would. I never know anything about her unless hospice calls. I have made several attempts to get through to these people and it never fails they disappoint. I have spoken to the director and still nothing changes. The nurses there seem to look at this as another job and not someone family member they are caring for. There’s not one good thing I can say about this place. Do not put your loved one here
