My aunt lives here and she is well taken care of. The staff there are very attentive and the admissions director is a gem she went above and beyond to make certain accommodations I am so appreciative of the staff at Medilodge!

My grandmother was in this care facility and had bruises and injuries from falling, staff did nothing, place smells like human excrement (tell tale sign of a bad care facility.), when asking nurses for help I was sighed at and was treated like a burden for not wanting an old lady sitting in filth. All chairs smell like pee, and staff seem careless. How do yall sleep at night? I dont know.

As a hospice professional who has worked alongside many skilled nursing facilities over the years, I can confidently say that Medilodge of Southfield stands out for its collaboration, compassion, and commitment to quality care. Their nursing team consistently demonstrates professionalism and respect when partnering with hospice. Communication is timely and thorough, and they are proactive in addressing changes in condition, symptom management needs, and family concerns. That level of teamwork makes an enormous difference in ensuring residents receive comfort-focused, dignified care. What truly sets Medilodge of Southfield apart is their culture. The staff treats residents and families with empathy and patience, especially during emotionally difficult transitions. They are receptive to interdisciplinary collaboration and genuinely prioritize the resident’s comfort and wishes. It is always reassuring to work with a facility that understands the importance of partnership in end-of-life care. I’m grateful for the dedication of their team and would confidently recommend Medilodge of Southfield to families seeking skilled nursing services.

"Disappointed with the lack of professionalism and care" I’m leaving this review to share my honest experience with MediLodge. To be blunt, I am not satisfied with the care here. While the facility might look fine on the surface, the day-to-day attention and responsiveness are severely lacking. It feels like many of the staff members are only here for a paycheck, not for the patients. If the cameras picked up audio, it would be clear how many employees are openly rude. I’ve personally walked through and heard staff being unprofessional; I even witnessed my mother’s own nurse flat-out state she "hates being a nurse" right in front of the head nurse. She didn't even realize I was standing there. If she’d rather be in dance classes, she should pursue that, because her heart clearly isn't in patient care. My mother has dealt with several recurring issues during her stay, and seeing that level of "professionalism" explains why. It’s a stressful process for any family, and I wouldn't feel right not warning others: please do your research and be prepared to be extremely proactive if you have a loved one here. I will follow up to their corporate headquarters in Washington Michigan. Due to HIPAA laws I was not going to record or take pictures of the facility but it's a dump FLAT OUT. I ALREADY KNOW THEY HAVE OVER 25 COMPLAINTS FOR THE MONTH OF JANUARY.

I visited the facility this month. My sister in law had been at this community a few years back. I was impressed with the continued cleanliness of the community. Staff was friendly. Residents look happy and well groomed.
