You wouldn’t believe what they pull once a loved one passes on. I have pictures of my moms empty apartment and there are no white spots that where under where her pictures hung. They say the whole apartment needs to be gutted down to the studs.! Most ridiculous scam we have ever come across in our lives! They are saying it will cost $80 thousand dollars to redo her apartment. If it were not an retirement scam the whole apartment is not worth $80, thousand dollars. They are taking advantage of our deceased mother’s situation. Beware its not the nice place you would think it is. Its no different then living in a Sheraton hotel except its a lot more expensive. Once our parents were there for a year they knew they made a huge mistake! But Erickson makes you sign your life away!

My mother has been living at Maris Grove for 16 years. She has consistently enjoyed her living arrangements and we have been impressed with the high quality of service she has received. Executive Manager has been consistent and vigilant, especially during the pandemic. Mom always Says it was the best move she ever made. I agree.

The staff here should be ashamed of themselves. Multiple times over the course of my grandmas living here, has there been incidents where she has been HURT and/or neglected. For the amount of money we pay per month, NEGLECT is beyond unacceptable. The most recent incident which has resulted in my family seeking an alternative residence was: my 99 year old grandma who cannot see or hear has been sent to the hospital BY HERSELF without notifying ANY family members. We were notified AFTER she was sent alone to the hospital (for a deep gash on her leg due to staff not carefully putting her to bed). She was terrified! She can’t see or hear - she’s 99 years old. When my aunt came to visit her once and put on an expensive sweater from Talbots she found a bunch of old basketball t shirts in her drawer in place of her sweaters. So someone stole her clothes as well. This place should be investigated and I hope it gets shut down. Horrible conditions, sketchy & negligent staff. Put your loved ones somewhere else.

I see why this place has several negative reviews. I too am commenting as a delivery driver. I called the number listed by the owner who replied to messages here in the comments and left a voice message shortly after the incident happened at around 12:40 pm on June 20, 2022, but have not received a call back. This was my first time delivering a package to a resident and will be my last. I am an independent delivery driver, so I can pick and choose what and where to deliver. The white, chubby, short, lady/security at the entrance, who was wearing glasses should be more patient and understanding. I pulled up at the second entrance and that was where residents are supposed to enter. She said “Now I have to get your tag number”, and explained multiple times next time to enter in the first one. I just smiled and said okay, but I will not be returning. I did not like her tone or the vibe of the place. Plus, a white, tall, older woman (resident) kindly helped me locate the person’s room I was trying to find and stated “This place is difficult to navigate”. She sure was right. Why make things harder than they are? Other senior centers I have been too were very easy to navigate and gladly accepted the package at the front desk. I do not even think I have met a security person, especially at an entrance. Very odd.
