This is a warm and loving place. Our Aunt has been here for a couple years. I could tell that the staff cared about her very much and she does not complain but says the staff are very nice. She grew up just down the street. Her room is large and she has many photos and memorabilia on the walls. Thank you for your excellent care for our loved one.

Do your research on this place. Poor communication with family and also poor among day staff/night/weekend staff. One hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing. Families told one things on care plan/treatment of family member but exact opposite occurs. Takes up to 30 minutes for help to come and assist with bathroom needs, sometimes resident aren't dressed in morning, hair combed/teeth brushed. Dining Hall food is not healthy at all and sometimes wait 45 min to get meal served. As far as activites...... forget about it. They are few and far between and not stimulating or interesting/fun. They treat residents the same even though they all have varying needs..... everyone in "one bubble". MCH: don't bother replying stating you want to contact me to discuss issues above and you are sorry for the experience................ not interested in hearing MORE excuses from you. ACTION speaks louder than words

Truly a "Hidden Gem"! I first learned of the Mapleton Community Home when it was the closest facility that could provide care and rehabilitation for my Dad following a near-fatal battle with COVID in 2020. Despite the health and safety protocols in place, the staff still provided outstanding care including speech and physical therapies. When something was needed from home or needed to go back home, there was a clearly defined process to ensure the safety of both the visitor and the staff. In my nightly conversations with Dad he talked about how much he liked the staff. They provided encouragement in his therapies and fellowship at a time when we as family members could only visit by phone and see each other through a window. After regaining strength and learning how to work with his post-covid body, he was able to return to his own home after just 8 weeks. When I asked him about coming home he said, "I am ready to go home, but I'm really going to miss the staff here." Three years out from his discharge, I still hold a fondness and appreciation for the staff at Mapleton Community Home. I recommend Mapleton Community Home for anyone looking for either rehabilitation or a long term care facility.

The reviews on this website are worthless. There is only 1 that shows dated 3 years ago. The facility's response is dated 8 months ago?! Go figure. I was trying to find a way to get the owners attention re: their picture of a resident being helped out of the wheelchair. Look at it before you post it. The foot supports are not folded up out of the line of movement of the man's feet. His feet are tucked under the wheelchair as he is trying to stand - putting all the pressure and body control on his toes! If he really continued in that posture and position, his helper would have to bear all his weight. Not good for either one of them. I hope this really doesn't happen as I just found out my brother is a new resident at this facility.
