We moved our mom to Maple Health. She had a stroke and was in ICU 4 days. The first morning I went in and she was drinking from a straw. She had a speech evaluation and an x-ray of her throat. She wasn’t swallowing very well: so her orders said no straw. Also they had her breakfast tray pulled in front of her . She can’t fed herself because of the stroke. The next afternoon I went in and she had pulled out her picc line. The nurse said it was in there at 11:30. This was 2:45. I said so no one has checked on her since 11:30. We were also told after the fact/ that they check on their residents every 2 hours. A lot can happen in 2 hours. Mom had to go back to the hospital by ambulance. We had to stay over night and got a new picc line the next morning. We did not got back tho Maple Health. I mean educate your nurses and CNA on what’s going on with a new resident. She could have aspired drinking from that straw. With all this being said. Our experience was absolutely HORRIBLE!!

Once a great local skilled nursing center. Now is a dump for the parent corporation. Poorly trained staff and unsanitary conditions have led to many health complaints and deaths. 100% covid positively 12-20-2020.
