By reading the reviews im kinda thankful things didn't work out after all even though what they did was wrong get a 84 year old woman excited to come there because she could keep her life companion her little dog angle, my mom has dementia and I started application in December, and they told mom she was excepted..however all the snow in January and my dad passed all at the same time it was hard to get social security and all the nessary appointments for all the documents they needed..meanwhile I was paying high rent at benchmark in Billerica..when Margarit house knew of my situation that her funds were running low..so I still had to continue paying benchmark..well I passed in final papers and she was denied after I gave a 30 day notice..she couldn't get medicaid until her money ran out..she also gets social security and va bennifits that she is eligible for..they made all these promises to help with all that..no instead they left a 84 year old woman loosing her dog with dementia, if anyone here understands what that does to someone with dementia knows she will die with a broken heart 💔 so now she has to settle in a place without her dog.. but I will bring her to see her and this new place started her medicaid right away and her va so she gets well over the amount she needed for margarit house. She was denied because low funds it showed me that its all about money then the best interest of the resident.. so things happen for a reason, and I was heartbroken as well because I really was under the impression this place was loving and caring.. thank you for all these reviews it has made me more except the fact my mom was denied last minute.

One star is being way too nice for this place, even giving a zero is too big of a rating. First of all, the name of this facility MARY IMMACULATE is using Mother Mary’s name in vain. Grandma received the worst care any human being can get, being there. She resided there for two years and as the years went on, she only survived due to the care of family members going to see her. Many times she would pull the call bell and not one person would come, and if someone did come, it was with a bad attitude and about 45 minutes later. The staff knew she needed assistance to use the bathroom and she ended up going alone most times which was also complained about from family, but nothing was fixed. The only time she received a shower, something we humans do daily, was when we the family called the unit and requested my grandma gets a shower. That’s disgusting treatment and abuse/neglect in my eyes. This place has no compassion for the elder at all, everybody works there just for the check CLEARLY. I’ve witnessed it myself being there. Being short staffed is not an excuse either! I highly doubt this care would’ve been given to any of the employees family members, that’s for sure. I was told by a family member who went to see her one day, they found my grandma laying in a bed full of OLD URINE, and another time in VOMIT. My poor grandma passed away due to this facilities neglegence! Grandma had pulled her call bell to use the bathroom and it took way too long so she went herself. She had fallen on that bathroom trip and nobody knew how long she was laying there! THEN the nurses didn’t even reach out to the family or her health care proxy at all. No report from the ER other than “everything is fine”. The next day she fell again out of bed, due to being disoriented from the previous days fall, she hurt her shoulder and was complaining of head and ear pain so she was sent to the ER again. From there it all went downhill, rapidly. After a spinal tap she was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis due to the impact of the fall(s) and a week later passed away. I believe one thing for sure, justice will be served to my family because God is on our side. I hope you all sleep well at night because my family is torn! We want the world to know the horrible care our family received. Don’t trust this place!

The staff here ignored my mom. She called the staff numerous times to use the bathroom and was ignored. My mom was heavily medicated as well. They didn’t even say she was a high risk to falling. She was there for rehab for a broken hip and couldn’t get up. They showed no compassion and was barely there to help her. They ignored her plenty of times. So, my mom got up and fell. She broke her other hip! Had to get a second surgery in her other hip. We had to switch her to Nevins rehab instead.Thank goodness at Nevin’s it’s going much better for her.

My mother states that she was very pleased with her stay at Mary Immaculate. The room was very comfortable with lots of space for personal belongings. The staff was wonderful-very friendly and helpful. She mentioned certain people in particular. Rebecca was welcoming and kind! The PT and OT got her up and around and helped her make great progress in her two weeks there. Crystal was very helpful with her showers. Thanks for the great care!
